credit union does not call on members when their accounts go negative. We have over 70,000 members. It is the account owner's responsibility to keep track of their deposit and loan accounts.

I understand the 3 Rivers does have a lot of members and it would be impossible to contact each member on an individual basis. However, other credit unions and banks have an automated warning system that notifies it's customers if the line of credit is getting low and/or a warning if the account is overdrawn. Why doesn't 3 rivers have an automated warning system? In addition, the fees charged are very excessive for the amount of money that I borrowed.

As I stated before, we do have technology in place that enables our members to be responsible for their accounts and balances. ATMs, mobile, and online banking are available 24/7 and are used by tens of thousands of our members.
This member also has a line of credit set up that can be used for overdraft protection.
Account holders are responsible to monitor and manage their deposit and loan accounts. 3Rivers has provided the necessary tools to do that conveniently any time, day or night.
It is reasonable to expect any member (myself included) to monitor their accounts on a regular basis. It is quick and easy.
We will not be refunding the fees assessed.
