Prior to engaging the business for a tattoo, I confirmed pricing with the owner. At first he said they charge for drawing the tattoo, however, when I told them I had never been charged for drawing the tattoo he agreed not to charge me for that and would only charge me $150/hr for tattooing and that the tattoo reference I had sent him would cost $600 (4hours)

The day of the tattoo I found out the artist had only set aside 2.5 hours for my tattoo even though they knew it would be approximately 4 hours. They made extensive changes to the tattoo which I agreed to, but it also simplified the tattoo which ultimately took 1.5 hours of tattooing to complete. The artist had booked another appointment right after me and so he was rushing through my tattoo to complete it in time resulting in a lot of pain and lines that weren't straight, the outcome was a tattoo that looked rushed, unfinished and nothing like the tattoo I thought I was going to get

When it came time to pay I asked them to confirm it would be 1.5 hours, but then they said it was 2.5 hours. There were other customers in the shop so I didn't bring up the issue there and just paid what they had asked. When I brought it up later, the shop told me they charged me for drawing, set up, and clean up for an extra 1 hour of service, or $150. When I brought it up to the shop after I had left, they *** accused me of trying to 'get a deal? or not paying what they felt their art was worth. They told me that I wasn't just paying for the art, I was 'helping to support (their) family? I just wanted to pay the agreed-upon amount. Now they are telling me I don't know anything about art ***? when I posted about my experience on their social media.
