Review: I went to get my belly button pierced on saturday september 28,2013. They just opened up about a week ago and were having a promotion for piercings so I decided to give it a shot. Well the guy they had was the only one who pierced and he's an apprentice. He didnt give me a copy of the contract that I signed stating I wanted my belly button done. I went in the back and after he was finished I paid and left. I began looking at it more and he didnt pierce my belly button, he pierced my stomach! The bottom of the bar isnt even coming out of my belly button, its above it and its also too thin. I finally talked to the owner after 3 calls, and he told me to come in tomorrow which im going to after I said I wanted my money back. The piercing is so messed up.Desired Settlement: I want my money back, and I want it pierced properly but not by them. Ill just go somewhere else. I would like to see his license taken away as well.

To whom this may concern,

I am writing this letter in regards to a complaint that was filed on 9/30/2013.Complaint ID [redacted].

I am one of the owners and manager of Inksane Creations Tattoo Studio. This specific client that came into our studio on 9/28/2013 was explained that the person who was piercing her was a piercing apprentice (she signed a consent form explain this as well). This client kept jumping when my apprentice went to pierce her, after explaining that she needed to stay very still she agreed. Once he went to place the needle she then jumped again. She paid and tipped the piercer 25%. This client was only charged half price due the piercing being done by an apprentice. When she called, all 3 times, she spoke to the apprentice -who is also one of the owners - he explained to her that if she takes the piercing out and lets it heal to then come back and we wouid re pierce it at no charge to her but to come into the studio the following day so we can take a look at it. She came back into our studio with a male who became hostile. I received a call to come to the studio to help rectify the situation. We explained to her that we do not give refunds (there are signs hanging in the studio stating this). There are also signs stating that copies of consents are given upon request. She did not request them until she came back, in which there were copied and handed to her. I wrote a letter stating that our studio would re pierce her belly button at no charge to her once the original piercing was healed. As far as the client requesting him to lose his license- he is an apprentice- therefore he does not have a license, he is learning and works under a licensed piercer, which is why she signed a separate consent.

Attached is the letter that the client was given as well as the consent forms that were signed.
