After investigating this incident which consisted of interviewing all associates involved and carefully reviewing video and audio recordings of the incident to validate the statements made during the investigation and by the customer, I have found no faults to warrant the customers statementThis
customer has stretched her story to play the part of ta victim which she is notShe was treated with professionalism and respect through all interactions until she became disrespectfulShe continued to verbally instigate confrontation which led her to being asked to wait outside until her glass was ready. The customer has had this piece of glass cut for her three times now, each time now she claims we have cut it wrongAll three times the glass was cut to her measurements that she gave usI have checked the glass compared to her measurements that she gave us for accuracy and have found no deviationsWe do not assume liability or responsibility for any measurements given by a customer as long as our cuts match what the customer gave us which all of these haveWe normally make the customer pay for another piece of glass if it is wrong due to their measurements, in this customers case due to the size of the glass we did not as the pieces were large enough to still cut other customers orders out of. The customer wants a response to why we cut the pieces wrong, well my response to that is they match the measurements she gave us, so the problem is not with us but with where the measurements came fromI do not see that the customer was treated disrespectfully while she visited our store, nor do we go out of our way to treat any of our customers in the manner that she is claimingWe have been in business serving our community for years and that is done by being respectful professionalsWe are a small business rural community that holds itself and its associates to standards but also expects the patrons of our community to hold themselves accountable to the same level of professionalismWe do not condone or allow a patron or employee to use profanity towards anyone on our property if they refuse to respect this they are asked to leave or be escorted out. I personally feel the customer needs to own up to their mistake that has been made multiple times by them while measuringOur cuts are only as good as the measurements providedIf the customer is unable to determine the true size needed then the customer may need to contact a company that installs windows or provides the service of repairing windows with broken panes as this is not a service that we provideWe also do not take measurements off a window frame, we simply provide a replacement pane of glass to the customers measurementsThe customer has two options, we will cut the glass to the correct measurements once she has attained the correct measurement or we will take the last piece of glass back from the customer as long as it is in good sellable condition and give her a full refund. This is not a matter that we take lightly nor will we allow an individual that has made the mistake make us out to be the ones in the wrongI have backed up all footage for Revdex.com's review if requested to validate my responseI have also filed statements from my associates that were attained during the investigationThis is all confidential information as it is part of an active investigation within our establishment that involves our employees, and has my employee's personal information which is not to be given out to any one else, these may be requested and reviewed by Revdex.com to review this incident in pursuit of the truth and nothing more. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any further questions you may have on this incident.Sincerely, *** ***Inland Builders Supply Inc.
