Inland Empire Trailers Reviews (%countItem)

On 9/2/2017 I purchased a new 2017 Dump Trailer from this company. The trailer which was certified to carry a maximum load of 12,000 pounds (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating). I did not begin using the actual dump feature on this trailer until November 1st and it was on day two of continuous use that I noticed that the metal bar which supports dump feature was beginning to bend. I called the company to report this and was told to take it in; however, I was in the middle of a job and was not able to take it in until Friday, November 10th. I explained that all of my loads where within the limits of what the trailer is certified to handle. And, I have copies of all purchases (which require a weight registration) proving that I never exceeded the limit certified to be hauled by this truck. After much back and forth, the response from the company was that I was responsible for paying for the repairs as their assessment concluded that I likely overloaded the truck. This is inconceivable, I explained that I have all my records of weigh-in and checks for all the loads I handled; which demonstrate that the limit was never exceeded. Unfortunately, though I escalated to the Owner, ***, the company continued to deny that the product was faulty. They instead gave me an estimate in the amount of $1,125 from their repair technician to correct the issues with the trailer.

This response is in regards to complaint #***

the trailer in question has a gvwr of 12,000lb ,the trailer weight is 2600lb as all noted/explained on the invoice #*** so max carrying capacity would not be 12,000lb as customer stated on complaint .The correct carrying capacity would be 9400lb ,the metal bar that customer stated bent was cross members ,the trailer was clearly over loaded ,we acquired professional opinion from other manufacture and was also stated unit weight was over filled and not distributed correctly .I have wrote all info on the repair order I will attache with this email .unless we stand correct we will not warranty this product and axle.
