Response to [redacted]’s complaint re: Delivery issues with the Indianapolis Recorder Newspaper.   Company response: The business and circulation offices of the Indianapolis Recorder are sorry [redacted] has experienced issues with her newspaper. As president of the company, I offer my...

sincere apology for the inconvenience and dissatisfaction Ms. [redacted] has endured. Exceptional customer service is highly important to the Recorder, so I take her complaint very serious. We recently updated our circulation software and it is quite possible with the conversions, a mistake on our end occurred. Our office takes full responsibility for this mishap and are truly sorry. As a solution, I’d like to issue Ms. [redacted] a full refund of the $39 she has spent. In addition, I’d like to provide her with a complimentary 1-year subscription to the Recorder and our sister publication, the Indiana Minority Business Magazine. In Ms. [redacted]’s settlement request she wanted a guarantee that she will receive her paper in the mail each Friday. As much as I’d like to accommodate her request, I simply cannot. Our publications are delivered via the United States Postal Service. Sometimes, unfortunately, issues occur at the post office that prevent them from delivering mail in a timely manner. When such issues are brought to our attention, we file a complaint with the post office and request an investigation or a “tracking” of a particular customer’s newspaper. There have been instances in the past where the post office has discovered mail carriers who have discarded the newspaper if their load was too heavy, or some who have delivered the paper at a later date for a multitude of reasons – none being the fault of the Recorder. Over the years the Recorder has worked with the post office to reduce the number of these instances, but unfortunately, they do occur from time-to- time, which prohibits me from guaranteeing a Friday delivery. It is important to note however, that the vast majority of subscribers do receive their newspaper in the mail on Fridays. My staff and I appreciate individuals like Ms. [redacted] who have supported us over the years. I hope Ms. [redacted] finds the Recorder’s response to her request satisfactory. Please let me know if Ms. [redacted] agrees with our offer. If so, I will issue her a refund and comp the subscription immediately. Thank you.     Respectfully submitted, Shannon W[redacted] President Indianapolis Recorder Newspaper

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I would like a refund of the $39.00 as soon as possible.
