Inline Auto Sale Inc. Reviews (7)

I want to begin by stating I have never in my life written an online review but the level of dishonesty expressed by this dealership has forced my hand on the matter. I have worked at a car dealership for most of my working career and I am accustomed to most sales tactics employed by salesman. This dealership will literally scam their way into getting as much money from you as possible. their numbers that they quoted me for my trade in and the vehicle I was looking at were very inflated. it seems like they are sneaking in extra "fees"

Company sold me car with severely under rated tires for the weight. I had a blow out. Did not perform a proper safety inspection. Needed 4 new tiresI bought a 2011 SUV form this place on 11/24/15. They told me that they had just replaced the windshield and put 2 new tires on the car. Fast forward, Feb 18th, 2016 I had a blow out while driving but luckily did not get into a wreck. So I try to put the spare on but find all the lug bolts completely rusted on. So I get on google maps and find a [redacted] within 1mile. I decide to limp the vehicle there in 5o'clock traffic with hazards on as long as I didn't hear rim on pavement. I finally make it and go inside to purchase a tire. [redacted] inspects all the tires and then we head back inside. They then try and gently break the news to me that the tires that are on the 5000lb SUV are severely under rated for the vehicles weight. So they legally could not sell me a matching tire size and put it on. They tell me I cant even buy just one proper sized tire because I have an AWD drive train and one normal sized tire with 3 undersized tires would destroy my differential. Regardless I bought this vehicle because of its ability to tow 8000lbs. Thank god I hadn't tried to tow anything with these little tires on it or who knows what may have happen. So I call up the dealership and tell them whats going on and the guy I speak to tells me this is above his pay grade and I should call back tomorrow when the boss is around and that I should also speak with the salesboy who sold me the car. So I leave my car in [redacted] parking lot and have my wife come pick me up. I then call the next day and they tell me the salesboy hasn't gotten in yet. So after multiple tries I finally get a hold of him around 11am. I explain the situation calmly and he tells me he will have to talk to the boss and get back with me. So I wait, and wait, and wait. 2hr later I'm tired of waiting so I call back and he tells me, "oh yea, the boss isn't in yet." I'm like its 1:00pm and he isn't in yet?. So I asked what time he thought he would be in and he tells me around 2:30-3pm he should be in. So I wait and wait....and 4:30pm rolls around and he still hasnt called back. Meanwhile im stranded and had to call out of work today. So I finally pick up the phone and call him again. This time he tells me the boss still isnt in. I'm like, come on there has to be a General Manager or someone there who has some authority to make a call. I tell him this is one of the main reasons I bought from a dealership and not a private party, so if some bizarre situation like this happened I knew I would be covered and not on my own. He tells me that they were thinking about calling a dealership thats local to me(I'm in [redacted]) to see if they can try and get me a deal on some tires but they definitely will NOT be buying new tires for me and righting their wrong even though its a major safety hazard and I've only had the car 3months. I had even told him I would drive the 3 remaining good tires back to him so they could use them on other vehicles that they are actually meant for. So I take a deep breath and explain my next course of action and then he hangs up on me. (No curse words were said by either party) Well, here I am. I have already left a google review where pics can be seen. That sparked a response to resolve the issue but it ended up going no where. (My source tells me Monday b/w 8-10am is when I need to call the DMV about a dealership that selling undersized unsafe tires on their vehicles causing blowouts on the highway). Don't ignore all the horrible reviews this place has on here like I did. There is a good chance you may end up regretting it like I am. $830.14 for 4 brand new tires 3months after buying it from a DEALERSHIP! ALSO this vehicle is/was equipped with rain sensors that automatically turned on the windshield wipers, not any more. When they replaced the windshield they didn't replace the sensor and now they don't work I found out. I didn't even call and complain about that even tho its directly their fault.Desired SettlementI would like a full reimbursement of the $830.14 I had to pay out. I've been so busy I have not had time to sit down and continue pursuing this until now but I plan on continuing my pursuit of reimbursement until justice is served. I gave the dealership everything they asked for. Pictures of everything and even the receipt from the tire place. I have waited ample time for the dealership to make this right and I still have not heard from them. I guess they thought I was just going to forget. I have technical data, pictures, and video of everything proving my case. I did not appreciate the someone from the business calling me up after my initial google review and calling me a liar when I have substantial proof. But I don't even want an apology, I'd just rather have my money back. Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] (admin/service)Contact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: [redacted]Generous discount was given to the customer at the time of the sale. Tire blow outs can happen on brand new tires, used tires any kind of tire. What we don't know is if the customer hit a pot hole, a curb, he could have ran over a nail.. Anything. The possibilities are endless. It sounds like to me the tire went flat, not a blow out. A blow out is not even driveable because it would mess the rim up and the tire would be shredded off so I don't know how he even made it a mile with a "blow out" We had two tires put on the vehicle through a tire shop that is non related to us. To be sure a tire shop would install mismatch tires on a vehicle. We will not refund anything due to the fact that we already gave this customer a big discount and we hardly ever give discount unless it's $150 for military. Thanks

False advertising of a higher priced vehicle for what turned out to be a lesser valued vehicle.A 2001 [redacted] Convertible, VIN: [redacted] was purchased for $8,700.00 on 05/31/2016. Upon arrival to buyer it was discovered that the vehicle WAS NOT a [redacted] AS STATED IN ALL PRIOR PAPERWORK. IT TURNED OUT TO BE A REGULAR [redacted] which carries a $2,500 differential.Desired SettlementA refund check in the amount of $2,500.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] (administrative)Contact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: [redacted]I am confused as to why this complaint was made after we already told the customer we were take the vehicle back and give a full refund as long as the vehicle was in the same condition that it was bought in. On our website we have a disclosure that is not in fine print nor is it hidden stating to check all options and trims before purchasing the vehicle. A third party posts the vehicles with a VIN decoder that is sometimes not accurate. Once again, we agreed to take the car back and give a full refund and that is how we intend on resolving the issues.

Bought a car from Inline auto on October 21,2014 car broke down on Novenber 7.2014.Call to inform them that car broke down and they would not fix the car. The sale man who sold me the car stated that if I had any problem with the car in 30 days to bring it back and they would fix the problem. they are stating that it is not they problem I have to get the car fix my selfProduct_Or_Service: carDesired SettlementI would like the car to be fix or my money backI receive a call from Inline auto stating that they was going to fix the car.Beside getting in touch with Revdex.com I had use other options to get there attention, I guess it work the car was picked up this afternoon and in at inline auto getting fixed. Thank you very much for your help if they do not stick to the agreement I will notify you again.

I purchased a car on 8/27/15. The tpms light is stuck on and while driving down the highway the signal light fell off the car.I purchased a car on 8/24/2015. I seen tape on the head light but the saleman told it was just there they took it off once they detailed the car. Upon leaving the lot I notice the tire pressure light was on and the car was driving ruff. I called the car lot and they told me the tires probably need air. I put air in them no luck. I called back once I got home told them about it again. They informed me to bring it back in on the 25th. I took it as soon as I got off work. I told them that I had researched it online about the tpms and it said it was a faultly sensor. They did a alignment no luck, so they did breaks and rotors on the front. No luck they told me to bring it back on the 26th so they could do breaks and rotors on the back. It worked but still no luck with the tpms light. They told me that was a defected in all [redacted] cars. On Sunday the 30th I'm driving down the belt line and my driver side signal light flys off the car. I called them and the guy told me to bring it in on Monday 31st because no techs work on Sunday. Took it there they told me they had to talk to the general manager and they would call me. That afternoon no one had called. So I called back I told them I needed a full history of the car because that just strange. He told me he gave the ** my number he should be calling still no luck. I got loan through [redacted] $9500 my first time getting a car with payments never again./////Desired SettlementI love the car. I just want it fixed its an saftey hazard. /////Business Response As the customer stated, we did a lot of repairs to try to resolve the issue already. When vehicles are sold as is, they do not come with a warranty. We did not charge the customer for any of the maintenance that we did after they purchased the vehicle. I do believe we ended up resolving the issue with the customer. If customers find issues with the vehicle before they are purchased 9 out of 10 times we will resolve the issue and have the problem fixed. Pre purchase inspections are always welcome here. We never tell a customer no. Consumer Response No it was not fixed. I asked about the tape on the headlights twice. The guy told me in wasn't a reason it was up there and they would remove it once the car was washed and detailed. Just like it's duck tape on both ends of the tire rod. I'm a women I never would have thought to look under a car to check everything and sure didn't think to pull on the headlight to see if it was loose. I trusted you'll when Mo assured me it was no reason that tape was there when the whole time it was holding the lights together. I still driving around with the missing light because you have to buy both the lights. But it was a lesson learned. I will never refer them to no one else.

They charged us $200 for a key we weren't supposed to pay for.I had a very disappointing experience with Inline Auto Sales. I bought my car December 16, 2015. Our salesman, [redacted], was great up until they got our money, then our experience went to [redacted]. It was agreed that they would replace the windshield that had a crack, and replace the halo headlights, along with buffering out scratches on the both bumpers and making a second key for us. We were buying this car used and know it won't be perfect. However, they had the car for two and a half weeks from when we purchased it to when we picked it up as they had to do the repairs and we were going out of town so we decided to pick it up when we got back. We checked in with [redacted] regularly and were told the car is ready for pick up, the key is made, and it was all good to go On January 4th, 2016 we made the hour long (and some change) trek to get it.Upon arrival, we were charged $200 for the key, whose cost was NEVER been mentioned previously. Each time we asked [redacted] about it he said it was no problem and they'll have it waiting with the car. In the three times it was verified, never once was $200 ever mentioned. Up until then it was just irritating. When we finally got to the car, we saw the car jack [redacted] said would be in the trunk wasn't there, and only one of the bumpers had the scratches fixed. Then when we drove to fill it up (yes, they gave us the car with barely a quarter tank of gas), we saw the halo lights weren't fixed, nor was the windshield! What were they doing for almost 3 weeks?!With waiting around for the guy who was working to figure out what was going on (he had to call [redacted] about us picking up the car then and seemed to have no idea what was going on) in addition to the hour plus trip one-way, we wasted almost four hours of our day to pick up a car that we ultimately had to leave there! We were told they'll have to call the windshield guy and order the parts and let us know when it will be ready.... Which begs the question - what the hell did they do for the two and a half weeks they've had the car? Nothing got ordered and yet [redacted] told us THREE times the car was ready.Total waste of half a day and $200 out the window with no car to even take home. [redacted], the salesman who was there, told us to call their manager [redacted] to tell him about all of that and he would most likely work something out with the key.A week later the car was done and they DID replace the windshield, halo lights, and buff the bumpers. But we were told to contact [redacted] to get our money back for the $200.Fast forward to end of January. My wife and I have both called to speak with this ever-elusive manager, "[redacted]," that we're still not sure even exists. We have left countless messages and have done more than our due diligence to call to get a hold of him to speak about all of this. We have never once actually spoke WITH him, and he has never returned our calls. We were told he's rarely in the store and when we finally found out he was there, he was "with a customer" and would not speak to us. Today, January 30th, 2016 when we called, [redacted] was there and heard we were calling to talk to [redacted]. He got on the phone and again, spoke to us like we were is about bringing up the key cost and told us we can drive up there ourselves to speak with [redacted] if we want. However, seeing as how it's almost an hour and a half drive ONE way and [redacted]e is hardly ever there (supposedly) we're not going to spend another several hours of our day (not to mention gas) to drive up there for [redacted] to not speak with us again. We want the $200 for the key refunded since that was NEVER mentioned. The original key we have for the car doesn't even work now, so we're back to one key all over again. We have contacted the dealership over TEN times with NO resolution, until just now, when another "manager," [redacted], spoke to me and said they will not give us even a partial refund for the additional key, even though it was NOT in the contract or even mentioned.Desired SettlementWe want our $200 refunded for the spare key.

I bought a 2002 Volvo s40 1.9t with XXXXXmi from inline auto sales of 4902 new bern ave in Raleigh nc XXXXX on February XX XXXX. The very first week I had the car I had to take it to a mechanic because a mysterious oil leak had just occurred. After it was all said and done the mechanic showed me the part (timing belt gear/gasket) that had failed on the car and said it was a 950$ fix. So I came up with the money to fix this brand new car. I called up inline auto to ask for ** the sales man who sold me the car and one person told me he quit then it was he was on vacation. So this brings me to the second part of the 5200 dollar mistake. drove the car not even a week after it was fixed the electrical system started to fail. first it was explanatory the alternator so bought one and fixed it. but the problems got worse. now it will not hold a charge, I have gotten it looked at by the same mechanic and 400$ in he has yet to repair it completely. The first time I discovered this electrical problem I was making a turn at an intersection with my daughter in the car and the car staled out in mid turn about causing us to get hit by a pickup truck. Like I said earlier every time I call to talk to someone I am talked to like I am an it and told the timing belt is routine maintenance. when it was a part in the engine that failed not a belt or the owner always being out of the country or at the bank or ect. At the end of the day these people are crooks and I would advise anyone not to buy a car from inline auto sale 4902 new bern ave Raleigh nc XXXXX! I have around 1600$ in repairs to this car.Product_Or_Service: 02 volvo s40 1.9tDesired Settlementi would like them to buy the car back and I know that isn't going to happen but if all the cars they sell are this unsafe there is a serious problem. a lot of people have families and buy cars to get them from point a to point b safely. Business Response When you purchased the vehicle it was 12 years old. It was not brand new. Unknown issues do occur in used vehicles after they are sold. We allow our customers to bring the car to get a pre purchase inspection to a mechanic of their choice at the customers cost. If the customer does not, that is their choice. We also let the customer know in the state of NC all used cars are sold as is. We do offer warranties through a third party. A second opinion would be ideal in your situation since your mechanic has done repairs but has not fixed the issue. Almost two years later we have moved facilities with a full mechanic shop. If you are in the market at any point for a vehicle, let us know and we will make sure to take care of you.
