Throughout the reconstruction process there were delays, incorrectly repaired items, and items which were not repaired. While there were issues throughout the reconstruction process, this complaint will focus on items found which were not repaired or were incorrectly repaired after the final payment had been submitted to the company. My family has not lived in the residence since that time. The issues were found as we prepared to move back into the home. Under normal circumstances, I would seek to resolve this directly with the company, but given delays and issues experienced during the initial reconstruction process, I believe it best to have a third party assist with the issues.Inline Restoration was hired to do reconstruction on our home after mold was found and removed from the home. Part of the work they were hired for was covered by insurance ([redacted]), and part was paid directly to them by my family. Most interactions were with [redacted], the owner. Initial emails to [redacted] started around early November 2014. [redacted]'s team started work on 02 Jan 2014. We sent the final payment via check in mid March.Issues found:* A HVAC duct was disconnected from the downstairs bathroom and not reconnected.* Sinks and tub in the bathrooms are no longer draining water quickly enough not to overflow. One sink has an overflow drain, but it continually sputters water out while the faucet is running.* The faucets installed on the tub and shower in the bathrooms do not turn to hot. Both stop midway between cold and hot. Leaving the water on for several minutes does not result in hot water though the faucets are turned on to the extent they will turn. It is not an issue with hot water in the home as other faucets have hot water and the faucets in question worked without issue prior to the reconstruction.* The right cabinet door of the vanity in the main upstairs bathroom will not open as it was re-installed too close to the wall.* One of the laundry room water connections leaks.* The walls which had paneling replaced in the family room and kitchen are having issues with paneling bowing out as it was not nailed in to the wall.* The lids on the seating / storage bench in the kitchen are hard to open and will not close cleanly.Desired SettlementI would for another contractor (of our choosing) to come in and repair the issues and for Inline Restoration to pay for the work.Business Response Inline was contracted in November 2013 to do the reconstruction for Mr. [redacted].Inline was in contact with Mr. [redacted] in November 2013 while the mold was being removed from his home. Please note that the mold remediation was completed in January 2014. The remediation had to be completed prior to reconstruction.During the reconstruction of Mr. [redacted]'s home there were somethings we were not contracted to do. Such items are as follows. We were never contracted to do anything in the downstairs bathroom. So therefore the HVAC/exhaust pipe for the bathroom fan would have never been connected. Please note that Mr. [redacted] informed us that he was remodeling the bathroom himself. We were never contracted to do any plumbing work upstairs in the laundry room. We were only contracted to lay new vinyl flooring in the laundry area. We had no idea there was a plumbing issue in the laundry room. Inline only re-installed the sinks and sink basin back in it original state. Meaning we installed the sink cabinet back in its original place. We used the exact same screw holes. As far as the cabinet door not opening to its full, it was apparent that it had been like this before the claim issue. This was brought up to Mr. [redacted] during the walk through. Both tub faucets were replace with new faucets that were provided by Mr. [redacted]. They were installed by a well known plumber in the triangle (which is license)In the room that has paneling only two pieces were removed and replaced. The paneling should not have bowed unless the home has been sitting for awhile. If no one was living in the home for 6 months this shows that the heating and cooling symptom may have been set wrong and there could have been a humidity issue in the home. By there being a humidity issue in the home this could had been the reason for the paneling to bowing. The bench in the kitchen had no issues during the walk through. Lastly,Inline did not 1 but 3 walk throughs with Mr. [redacted]. On every walk through something new was found including things that we were not contracted to do. We at Inline felt that Mr. [redacted] was taking advantage of the situation to get extra things done. Please note that these issues were never brought to Inline's attention till this action was filed with the Revdex.com. We had no idea of these issues. If these issues were brought to our attention directly we would have had the issues resolved immediately. We were done with the project in March of 2014. I do not understand why it has taken 6 months for us to be contacted with the issues. The issues at hand should have been found during the 3 walk throughs that we did upon completion of the project. Inline has a great customer service rating and this complaint should not be entered against the company. Inline will not pay another contractor to repair the said work due to the previous manner of the last walk throughs. However, we do stand behind our work and we would uphold our warranty that we gave Mr. [redacted]. We would like to try to satisfy Mr. [redacted] in a reasonable manner.

Vendor was paid in full by my insurance company for repairing water damage to my home. However, there are still repairs pending completion 6 mos later[redacted] Claim [redacted]Basically, Inline Restoration completed majority of the repairs and was paid in full by the insurance company. However,[redacted] (owner of Inline Restoration) was aware of repairs that were not completed. I spoke with[redacted] some time in June and was advised that he was waiting for some flooring from Canada. [redacted] (Inline Restoration Owner) was fully aware of the pending repairs listed below.1. Sheet rock in den area behind floor lamp. (severly wavy wall). Sheetrcok repair issue2. Floor in front of refrigerator. 3. Island receptacle. (No power)4. Shoemolding right of cook stove.I have contacted[redacted] dba Inline Restoration numerous times via phone and email in regards to the outstanding repairs and he has yet to return my call or even advise on what's going on. It is now six (6) months later and the repairs are still pending.Your assistance is needed in rectifying this issue.Desired SettlementI will get an estimate from another reputable contractor, on the cost to complete the repairs. As I have lost confidence in Inline Restoration due to how they have handled my numerous inquiries in regards to my outstanding repairs. I would like for Inline Restoration to refund me the amount needed to make the necessary repairs to my home. It is only fair and at this point I don't want them in my home and the trust I had in them is now gone.

The work was done improperly, and the owner will not return my phone calls. On 01/06/14 we had water damage in our home. Once we were cleared to start repairs this company was recommended and they contacted us and was hired on 01/18/14 and started on 01/20/14. They were hired to repair/replace damaged drywall and take down the texture ceiling plaster seal, sand and paint. Install laminate flooring in the living room, kitchen and hallway and any other repairs that was needed. They completed all the work on 03/10/14. They were paid all money due in the amount of $5,740.39. In late August I noticed the ceiling had started to crack. I called the project manager which is the father of the owner. He told me that he would call the owner and call me back and he did and said that owner would be be out to my home by the end of the week, he never called or showed up. I then tried to call the owner with no luck but left messages. I then took pictures of the ceiling and call another contractor to get the work done and it cost me $300.00 to get that repair done. On about 11/06/14 I noticed the laminate flooring had started to come up off the floor in different places. I have sinced called the owner two more times with no luck but to leave messages. The owner guaranteed his work for one year, but yet he will not return my calls. Desired SettlementI want to be reinbursed for fixing the ceiling and having the Laminate flooring taken up and replaced by another company. All of this could have been avoided if the company would have returned my calls and repaired the work. Business Response Inline Restoration has closed down and is no longer in business.
