I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below1. This is such a bunch of falsehoods I cannot believe it and am shocked. As I indicated before, my wife is highly allergic to any kind of smoke and cannot stay in a room if even there is a hint of smoke in it. There was no hint of smoke in this room or she would have demanded another room. I am years old. I do not smoke marijuana nor does any of my family members and no where in my entire medical history is there any mention of use of marijuana. For Pete's sakeAs Ii indicated before, we stayed in hotel rooms on our cross country trip and not a one claimed this or even alluded to it2. If the smell was so bad, why did they not investigate it? How would they know it was coming from any particular room with no investigation. They could have simply knocked on the door and inspected. This did not occur, nor was anything about it mentioned on our checkout. Of course they waited until after we departed to dream up this nonsense. Had they said something at check out, we could have simply walked back to the room and opened the door and I assure you it was a fresh as when we walked in it3. Again, I never used any vulgarity as I never spoke to anyone. The only person I ever spoke to was the front desk girl named Rebecca, who kept assuring someone would call. This never happened and I have the call logs to prove it. Zero calls from Inn at the Finger lakes. Rebecca was always nice to me, as I was to her and I am confident she will say the same. She also was frustrated that no one had returned my calls after calling for five days straight4. The certified mail was not recipient restricted or directed. It could have been signed by anyone at the front desk. The Bank did not agree with them, or rule in their favor. They simply said it was a non disputable transaction as far as a credit card goesI am not accepting any of this bunk or lies. If I cannot get satisfaction this direction, my next step will be court filings.

I have heard the explanation from the business but the fact that I was treated with such carelessness and disregard for my issue is ridiculousI will not accept this responseI do not even care about the monetary issue anymoreIt was the way that I was treated that is absolutely uncalled forThis woman treated me like a child and was condescending towards meHospitality is about being of sevice to people and handling the issues in a calm decisive mannerThis woman had no regard for my feelings towards this issue at allShe stated in that it was not her problem and two that this is something she deals with on a regular basisI don't care if she deals with this regularly or not, you need to treat someone even if they are frustrated in a decent manner and I was treated cruelly like I was nothing but crap on her shoeThis is absolutely horrible customer service!

Revdex.com spoke to Michael at business and the following was relayed: This was an online reservation that was made and the website clearly states that it is non-refundable and no cancellation as this is a pre-paid reservation that comes with a discount. I have previously attempted to resolve this...

situation by permitting them to change dates to a later time. This offer remains, all they have to do is call and let me know.

We have a strict non-smoking policy, for any kind of smoke, that the customer initialed and signed on our registration form. There is a $150 fee if there is smoking in a room or public area. a strong smell of marijuana that was in the room they stayed in. Additionally, 3 different rooms complained about the smell. The smoke smell was so strong that we were unable to rent the room for the next 2 nights. The customer did dispute the charges with their credit card and the dispute was determined in our favor. Regarding the phone calls, they were returned but the last one was disconnected after the customer refused to refrain from using vulgar language. The certified letter arrived on a day I was not present and that is why it was not signed for. See attached.

As I tried to explain to Ms. [redacted] this morning, She made a reservation on [redacted].com on 4/27/15 for four nights. We were in a sold out situation with a waiting list. Ms. [redacted] was charged the first night and the other three were cancelled. Ms. [redacted] claims she did not make the reservation. She was...

extremely upset when I told her if she believes this is a fraudulent charge she needs to contact the police if her card number was stolen. In fact I did tell her we will not be refunding her card. I hear hundreds of excuses on a weekly basis with no-shows and if her number was stolen then I would have no choice but to refund her card, Ms. [redacted] was extremely upset that I refused to immediately refund as she commanded me to do. I was not the out of control person in this situation as I deal with this for a living. I am sorry but unless Ms. [redacted] can prove through the law that someone stole her card number and made this reservation I will not be refunding the charge.

The amount in question is the tax paid to the state that we have to pay. She would have to contact the NYS department of Taxation to receive that back.
