In 2016, my ac brokeI took it to Bob and Lynn at Tuffy MotorsI had been addresed and my vehicle driven into the shop, but then was told to wait, so they could check on my vehicleDuring my wait, their daughter had an auto accidentLynn got on the phone with their auto insurance companyThe daughter arrived to the shopI had to wait hours, for these people to tend their dirty laundry, dramatically
My ac would be done under my vehicle warrantyI would hear from them, as soon as they heard from my warranty peopleI took it in on a WednesdayFriday, I tried callingThey wouldnt answer the phone and they wouldnt return my messagesSaturday, same thingMonday morning, same thingI called my warranty peopleMy warranty people said they were waiting to hear back from Tuffy - Lynn, and they had left Tuffy - Lynn - a message on FridayTuesday, I heard nothing
Wednesday morning, a week after I took my vehicle to them, I got my Mom to give me a ride up thereThey said my ac was fixed and vehicle ready to goI got into my vehicle, drove off the parking lot, got up to the red light, just up a bit, made a U turn, came back to the shopThere was a noise that was not supposed to beIt was a scrubbing, humming noise
I stepped into the shop and I was being very timid because I am not comfortable with having to inform someone that something is wrong with the job they didI very meekly said, there was an odd noise under my hood and I described the noiseBob stood up, real fast and jerky with his body motions, and while making a smart aleck smirk on his face and with a crappy tone, he said, there wasnt any noise when I got finished with it, and he walked out
Lynn told me to come on, let's get in my vehicle and let her ride with me to hear itShe heard itShe said it was probably just because of the new ac system and needed time to work itself outThe noise continued on and I was waiting for it to work itself outI had to go to the storeI got in my vehicle and the sound roared extremely loud, scaring me to deathI was a block from my houseI came back to my house
My husband got home from work and looked under the hoodHe found that Bob did not secure the cover they had to pull open, in order to get to my ac, and it was flopping around and rubbing, hitting whatever was in its way, under my hoodAnd we found they had broken my dip stick tube, which was obvious it was done when they plopped the cover over to that side, in order to work on my ac
I called and nicely told Lynn what we foundShe immediately jumped on the defenseHer husband wouldnt do any such thing, she screechedI told her, well it was done and by himNobody else has been under my hoodShe got loud and ugly, in defense of BobI got loud, because she made me madShe wouldnt shut upShe wouldnt listen to anythingShe blared out, in defense of Bob, on and on and on about how he knows what he is doing and this, that and the otherI told her what to do with herself and hung up
A couple of months later, my ac brokeMy warranty people insisted I had to go back to TuffyI refused to go back thereI cancelled my warranty policy, because I am not paying for any warranty company to force me to deal with any such trash as Bob and LynnI went to another shop to get my ac fixed and a new dip stick tube put in, and out of my pocket
The shop, who fixed the broken ac, that Bob installed, found that the ac had been installed improperly and that is why it brokeI could just see me trying to tell Lynn that her husband didnt install my ac properly and it broke and he broke my dip stick tube and did not secure the cover, all at the same timeYeah right!
If you deal with these people, Bob and Lynn at Tuffy Motors, you better hope they dont make any mistakes because they will never admit any mistake on their part and they will get very ugly when you have to even tell them they messed something up and/or broke something

Very positive experience with Tuffy auto repair center today. Went in with air conditioning issues. I really thought it was going to cost me a lot of money to repair my problem and I'm sure it would have not been too hard to add the bill up but my issue was dealt with very professionally and with great honesty. I could not be more pleased and I will go back the next time I am in need of some repairs. Thanks
