Review: Inn Shop charged my credit card $1069 for a rental ski which was "bent". I had purchased a Damage Waiver. Additionally, the Inn Shop had Emailed me that "the wrong skis were taken".The shop manager threw a fit and yelled at my 12 year old daughter when she returned the skis, which she had used for 1 1/2 days without problems, under the direction of a licensed ski instructor. When I protested that the one ski in question was not noticeably bent, and mentioned the Damage Waiver, the Inn Shop charged my credit card $1069. The Internet price for the used ski is $300 per pair; the price for a new pair of skis is $560. I have been actively trying to resolve the issue with the Chase Credit Card Company and the Inn Shop ( non responsive to my queries). I notice that the rental record is no longer present on the Inn Shop's website. I would appreciate any help in resolving this issue.Desired Settlement: I would like to settle the matter in the amount of $300, the price for a pair of used skis. As [redacted] Credit Card Company has already paid the Inn Shop $1069, I would request reimbursement of $769 so that I can pay [redacted].

I am responding to your inquiry regarding the complaint submitted by [redacted] on July 22, 2014, ID 10145607.

First, no one did our would ever yell at any customer let alone a child. when Mr. [redacted]'s daughter returned the skis we noticed they were damaged. I asked her to please have her mother or father contact us so we could discuss the damage.

Second, as the attached documents indicate, the damage waiver only covers repairable damage. The skis could not be repaired and be considered safe.

Third, I had several phone conversations with both Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] to try and settle this dispute. Both of them refused to take any responsibility for breaking the skis.

After several attempts by Mr. [redacted] to avoid paying for the damaged skis the dispute was submitted to both of our credit card company, and to [redacted]. They both denied his claim and ruled in our favor.

Mr. [redacted] continued to contact us via phone, email, and letter. We replied to each contact. He also contacted [redacted], owner, at home which I considered unacceptable.

According to our contract (enclosed) we are entitled to charge full retail price for equipment that cannot be repaired. The price Mr. [redacted] quoted is incorrect.

At this point we feel Mr. [redacted] is using Revdex.com as a last attempt to avoid paying for the skis. He is also questioning my character and integrity of the Inn Shop.

I have decided NOT to participate in Binding Arbitration to resolve my complaint with ID [redacted],. I understand that because I have decided to not pursue arbitration that Revdex.com must close my complaint. I have decide to pursue legally or via other avenues.
