Inner City Towing

Review: The Towing truck company failed to charge a reasonable amount for a tow. The towing company was dispatched by the City of Pittsburgh and the insurance companies towing company was cancelled without knowledge. The charges charged were not agreed upon and the amount is not a fair and reasonable amount for a tow. This company is continuing to rip the public off and should be shut down for illegal bait and switch and misrespresentation of towing fees.Desired Settlement: Would like the amount of the tow to reflect and accurate amount and fees be listed and stated and spelled out and not quote one price and then bill another. If the City is dispatching this particular towing company what is the kick back to the City of Pittsburgh... Fraud in the inducement.

Review: When the tow trunk driver came to the accident he kept insisting on towing my car to his garage I really wanted to have it taken to my moms friends body shop but I couldnt think were it was. The police officer ask the tow truck driver how much was he going to charge for the tow he told us the it would be 187.00 a tow n to store my car it would cost 50.00 a day. that's not what want they charge me, later on I call the to have it tow to pc auto where I want tow in the first place, they dropped it off yesterday 3/4/14. they mind u the accident happen on Monday 3/3/14.when they dropped my car they gave [redacted] the bill for 949.00 with is uncalled for.the double the towing each way and that's NOT what the price was suppose to beDesired Settlement: The tow trunk driver quite me amount of $187.00 a tow. He towed my car to his garage first n it was a few hours latter I called to have it tow to PC Auto and [redacted] gave him the address to tow the car to. When [redacted] got the car the tow trunk driver gave him a bill for $949.00 and that should not been that much in price because he quite me amount of $187.00 for a tow and $50.00 for store my car but they billed me a higher amount.

Review: I was charged $325 for a two block tow. when I tried to call to get my car out of the garage THAT DAY the number on the tow truck didn't accept incoming calls or let me leave messages. I tried the number on the business card and it was disconnected. I kept trying all weekend and no one answered I went to the garage during their hours and no one was there either. so I was charged $75 a day for storage fees so I was charged for five days until I finally got a hold of them on Tuesday(the wreck happened on a Thursday). $100 for them simply opening the garage door. $100 for a wench fee when the wench fee should be part of the towing. $50 for a sweep fee. when another guy went to go get the car out of the garage the bill only came out to $525 and I was charged all together $600! The person who took care of everything was [redacted]. I feel as though this was a scam and he took complete advantage of a handicapped woman!!Desired Settlement: I understand that things aren't cheap these days but not $600 worth for nothing. especially when I tried everyday to get ahold of him. I simply want some of my money back. you never know how many other people he has taken advantage of!

Review: on friday the 6th of december 2013, I was involved in a car accident.inner city towing employee stated he would tow my car to the repair shop.when it was not there on saturday morning , I had to track it down and the inner city towing guy said cant drop it off when repair shop is closed.thus will tow it to wolbert auto body on monday, which he did and charged $1000.00for the tow. wolbert refused,and by the time state farm insurance got to inner city towing,they charged state farm insurance $1675.00 towing bill.that is just completely wrong, for the average tow bill is $200.00Desired Settlement: not sure what can be done...what are the options?

Review: Inner City towing responded to a wreck that invovled my parked car. And the towing charge was $800 for not taking it more than 6 miles total. No up front charges were stated and this seems to be an unreasonable charge. And we I went to call them in the morning to tell them not to take the truck to the body shop I was going to have them come and get the truck; Inner city towing number that I was given was out of service I had to drive to their shop to get the number off one of their trucks and every truck had a diffirent number. Therefore I got charge a 2nd tow when I didnt want it taken by them.Desired Settlement: At least the amount of $325 for the one tow since I was unable to reach them since the numbers didnt work.

They try to bully cops at accident scenes by threatening to file complaints if they don't get a tow. They try to extort money from consumers by not releasing their vehicles unless they pay them in cash. Some of their drivers are not properly licensed.
