Began using agency in 2012, payment in full after every visit as well as up to date. However, office in disarray January 2014. paid co-payment for March 2014 visit, no outstanding balance or discussion at that time. Now being billed for a no show, Contacted office by phone, fax, sent email to request written explanation of billing. No response or contact was made/attempted by anyone regarding this issueTelephone contact by "[redacted]" at July 23, 3:50pm, 1 1/2 days before July 25,2014 visit attempting to collect payment.Desired SettlementI have copies of correspondence- faulty appointment/office communication process from January through March 2014. Office was in disarray, health care professional concurred that office appointment procedures were in flux.I am seeking written explanation not a yelling that office procedures "changed as of March 2014, prior to hiring "Ms. [redacted]" in April 2014. I am being held hostage as a result of office fluctuation.Business Response In order to address the consumer's concerns, please see the following:1)The office policies remain the same as stated in the 2012 Patient Policy Form the client signed.That form states that if a client does not cancel 24 hours prior to her appointment, or "no shows" for the schedule appointment, she is responsible for the appointment fee.2)The office has records of dates when the appointment was made and times that phone calls were made to respond to fax and billing inquiries from the consumer.3)In the interest of resolving this concern for the consumer, the practice will waive the "no show" charge for this consumer, however, that in no way indicates that the health care provider or the practice agrees with the statements made in the consumer's complaint.Consumer Response As of Sunday, August 10, 2014, I have read the business rebuttal and will follow up with the office of Eastern North Carolina Better Business Organization to confirm that I accept the resolution as long as I am not penalized monetarily to pay for 'no show ' AND that it does not affect my credit bureau rating score for now and into the future.
