Innercept is a scam. Even my parents admitted to it after I left! I used the word gimmick, they corrected me and used the word scam. It didn't help at all. I left and they had to adjust my medication because I was so overdrugged, I had a lifeless countenance. There are countless stories of mistreatment at Innercept. Yes, they try to weasel the parents out of every single penny they have to their name, even suggesting to parents they sell the house. Therapy was a joke. I sat there, and I don't know how to do therapy! It's not obvious! What the fk am I supposed to talk about? The therapist I said, on my discharge form, Rachel needs to work on positive self talk. Well, for one, I am very nice to myself, that's not the problem. The problem is I have biochemical damage from taking Adderall for so long. Two, why didn't she work on it with me if that's a problem? That's not it. One time, I was not doing as well as they thought I should. I had a very private journal in my room I had no intention of sharing with anyone. It was actually stolen from my room and given to my therapist and she read the entire thing. Yeah, there's no right to privacy here either. Do not believe a single positive review you see anywhere. I don't know, if you have some sort of eating disorder, you might benefit from this program. But there is nothing else I know of that this program has any sort of positive effect on. When you are at Innercept, everyone is fking pissed they are there. No one is there voluntarily. This causes the residents to act out and run away from the program. So if you have some sort of problem with your young adult walking down the freeway in sketchy North Idaho in the middle of the night, don't send your child to this program. You think your child wouldn't do that? It's a whole different ballgame when you send them to treatment against their will. You think you know your child? No, you do not. You have no idea what your child will do in a program they are forced to go into against their will.

+2

I cannot believe the A+ rating, there must be a conspiracy since this is one of the biggest scam I've ever experienced. There's no free will in the homes everything is controlled. Staff constantly switch around medications and sometimes abruptly take them off meds. Phone calls and internet access are heavily restricted. Plus education is a joke with only 2 hours of school a day. No classes, no lectures, nothing but self study. These gold diggers will lie right through their teeth on what they offer to the residents in their program regarding therapy, education, and recreation in the community. All outings were restricted with those in the group and were completely controlled. I was only their for 5 days, but got enough exposure to see it's true colors. Innercept will try to keep kids and adults in the program until their families can no longer pay. Avoid their program at all costs.
