Takisha [redacted] We are standing by our decision that you will not have to pay the $48. We restfully disagree with the comments that indicate the fee was improper or invalid. Even though we determined the fee valid we do understand you disagree. We are very sorry that is how you feel. Our findings are below. Takisha [redacted] entered into a cleaning agreement with The Cleaning Authority on 3/25/14. That agreement covered her house cleaning plan in place just before this notice – “every fourth week.” On the back of the agreement given to her there is a written list of “The Cleaning Authority service agreement & Policies.” They are numbered 1 – 23. Number 18 – is titled, “Cancellation Fee” which states – In the event that you cancel a clean, you will be charged a $25.00 cancellation fee. Number 19 – is titled, “Lock out Fee” which states – If the cleaning team is unable to enter your home due to the customers fault (Double bolt locks, animals not contained, or if the team was turned away at the door on a regularly scheduled clean) there will be a lock out fee assessed in the amount of ½ your regular clean price. After entering into a “every four week agreement,” Takisha [redacted] cancelled 3/31/16 clean, then cancelled her 4/28/16 clean, then cancelled her 5/26/16 clean, and finally on her 6/23/16 clean we sent a team to clean her home because there was no cancel call, we were locked out and unable to clean her home as no one was home. As a result a Lock out fee was charged to her account per policy number 19 listed above. The Cleaning Authority charged Tikisha Smiths credit card because she given us her credit card information to put on file, as her method of payment for her account.
