My summary of events for this MOVE from [redacted] to [redacted] When you call [redacted] for a in home estimate [redacted] ask you if the list you supplied would be any difference if he came to the house and you said no so therefore [redacted] told you there wasn't...

any reason to go to the home and you agreed and booked your move.[redacted]. The reason you booked is because you wanted a delayed delivery as long as possible and we said about June 1 to try and help you out and that is why we had to transfer to another trailer to help accommodate you at my expense. [redacted]. When we tried to contact you even after I sent you e-mails telling you that the truck was leaving [redacted] on the 14 of June and leaving [redacted] on the 21st these e-mails was sent to you in May 2015 so you knew the truck was coming and still tried to avoid putting your things into storage by not returning phone calls or e-mails. This ended up to being 2 months free storage [redacted] to transfer your goods from trailer to trailer to try to accommodate you. When you called me about a missing box you described the carton and I remembered seeing both carton at the same size and you said one was missing after you witnessed the off load. [redacted], I also called the other mover to confirm what you told me that you was inside there truck and you witnessed the total off load of there truck. [redacted]. Like I tried many times to tell you that when you signed off at the storage unit that everything was received and our liability for damage or missing items would end there. We are not reasonable for another mover after the fact. [redacted]. If you can send pictures of the damaged furniture I will see what can be done.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/08/28) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I disagree with pretty much everything, but a few key points_
the storage during transit was a mutually agreed upon principle to which this company could have said no, but accepted because they clearly wanted my business. It wasn't a full 2 months free storage. [redacted] I am not asking that this company re-pay me for the move., but stating that there was a big disconnect between their quote and the final costs. I simply want them to try to locate the missing items which they lost in transit., as while they weren't of significant monetary value they had large sentimental value to me. Those boxes were NOT lost at this end. Allways Movers lost them in their transit somehow and don't seem to be willing to even try to locate them. [redacted]My local mover repaired the damaged furniture free of charge so I am not asking for repairs either. I want two things- my missing items, and I want it publicly noted that I received very poor service from this company and would advise others against engaging their services.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 14, 2015/09/20) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
[redacted] The main thing I asked for was that Allways attempt to locate my missing items, which they lost in transit. They have not been willing or made any attempt to do so. As stated before, my local mover was excellent and did repair the minor damages to my furniture, happily and at no extra charge. That's all I'm looking for here, good customer service and a willingness to help find a solution to a problem. [redacted]

In regards to [redacted] complaint we are firm in our last response 2015-09-14

---------- Forwarded message ----------From:[redacted]<[redacted]>Date: Wed, Feb 21, 2018 at 1:04 PMSubject: Complaint filedTo: "[email protected]" <[email protected]>Hello I filed a complaint earlier against Allways moving company in New Port NSabout 10 minutes after I filed it...

they contacted me and sent me what I needed - ironic! If you could please close the complaint it would be much appreciated.Thank you,[redacted]Substitute Admin AssistantSackville Heights Jr. High[redacted]Halifax Regional School Board[redacted]

The original ESTIMATE was based on 2000 pounds and it weight 2020 pounds, On the day of loading we couldn't get our tractor and trailer into the building only in the front where the property manager wouldn't let us load because of being a fire route so we had to use a smaller unit to shuttle to the...

trailer. Because of the 4 hour time difference we couldn't get in touch with [redacted] but [redacted] texted [redacted] to inform him of the extra charges. I also called 902- [redacted] twice with no response and no message centre set-up on his phone. The extra charge also included new mattress bags for 20 dollars witch is mandatory on all moves. When we arrived in Vancouver [redacted] couldn't take delivery until November so we had to set off his goods in storage so we had room on the trailer to reload and never charged for storage or redelivery when most companies would had if we left it on the trailer for delivery we would have found out that we would not have able to deliver because of all the cars that was parked there therefore he saved another shuttle cost_ I went to the sales office at 2309 Brunswick st and spoke to the manager and superintended who agreed that they see large truck come and go but not tractor trailers after I explained the difference. [redacted] got a good moving rate and saved hundred of dollars on delivery not to mention the three floor carry up I'm sorry I just don't understand the complaint for what we had to go through.
