We had a leak in our upstairs bathroom that was leaking down through our downstairs bathroom ceiling. We were out of town for two weeks but my mother-in-law was there to assist him. He told her that he needed to shut the water off but what he failed to tell her is that he disconnected all of the exterior hoses and disconnected the drip line irrigation that I had set up to water my greenhouse and sensitive plants and trees in the yard. After we returned, everything in my greenhouse was dead or dying and many of the shrubs throughout the yard. For the life of me, I do not understand why he disconnected all the hoses and irrigation lines in order to fix the leak in the house; that's what the main shut-off valve is for. He should've at least told us and returned everything back to original. I've left him voicemails and he's not responding. I'll be taking him to small claims court for the hundreds of dollars of loss and recoup the money and time invested in our irrigation system I had in place while we were away. It was 108 degrees when we returned, no idea what this guy was thinking!
