Innovative Anesthesia Solutions, PC Reviews (4)

Review: I have received a collection letter from TSG stating that an amount of $1392 is owed to Innovative Anestesia Solutions for services provided over 5 years ago. I did not receive bills from this company and had no idea this matter was pending until receiving this collection letter. I did call the Innovative office and request copies of the bills, which were sent to me. At the time of services rendered all payments were made as necessary either by credit card or check which the person from Innovative affirms. Any other monies owed were to have been billed to the insurance company. Innovative did receive payment form the insurance company and did agree to accept payment as full.

Now after so much time has passed it is nearly impossible to collect documentation to close this matter and it is truly unjustifiable and unfair to have this issue referred to collection when it is a billing problem on the part of the company.Desired Settlement: I would like this matter to be taken care of by Innovative reviewing their records and realizing that payment in full was made as indicted by insurance records and patient copayments. What ever was paid out over 5 years ago was the amount agreed upon by Innovative and the insurance company. No other money is due to Innovative. They have poor billing procedures. Innovative should also call of the collection agency which continue to harass my household with their threatening letters.

Response:

I am the owner of Innovative Anesthesia Solutions, PC and would like to respond. There is a clear misunderstanding here. This lady received services on three occasions several years ago. My group is out of network and her insurance company paid significantly less than the billed amount. I recognize that she owes a significant amount of money however, I cannot accept the amount her insurance company paid as payment in full. I would like to disagree that she is not being harassed by the collection agency. She should contact them to resolve this and know that we will work with her. There are three dates of service, she received significantly less from her insurance carrier than we billed and would like to resolve this for her. Contrary to what she said, we sent out a number of statements prior to putting her in collections. I am sorry about the misunderstanding but cannot accept her carriers payment as payment in full.

Review: I don't believe this is a legitimate debt as I had never even heard of this company until the letter from TSG Collections. I have never contracted or had any dealings with Innovative. I had a surgery with [redacted] in New York in January 2013. I was told that everything was included (anesthesia as well) with [redacted]'s charges, which I paid in full. It has been 10 months since my surgery and never during those months had I heard from Innovative. Now I receive a collections letter from TSG Collections, LLC on behalf of Innovative Anesthesia Solutions, PC. stating I owe them $2700 for services rendered on 1/**/13. I have never dealt with or contracted in any way with Innovavite Anesthesia. If they were hired by [redacted] to administer the anesthesia during my surgery (which is something I was not part of or agreed to), they should collect their money from [redacted], as I was told everything was included in my payment to [redacted]. Further, I never received a bill or any information from Innovative, the first notice I had that I allegedly owed them money was the letter I received from TSG Collections.Desired Settlement: I would like Innovative to contact TSG, remove my account from collections and stop any collections efforts against me, as I do not owe them any money and have never had any dealings with Innovative. If [redacted] contracted with Innovative for my surgery, then Innovative needs to collect any money it believes it is owed from whom it contracted with, i.e. [redacted]. I was told all costs of the surgery were included in what I paid to [redacted], and if [redacted] did not pay Innovative, then Innovative needs to pursue [redacted].

Response:

I did this patient before and his mother paid directly by credit card. He came back for a second procedure and knew he was supposed to pay. As a courtesy, I tried to put it through his insurance but they would not pay. He claimed he had no money and a lot of other stuff. He was taking his daughter on a trip. He knew he was responsible and was hoping that his insurance would pay but they did not so he is fully responsible for charges. After his insurance company denied payment, he was billed on several occassions and would neither pay, make a payment plan or ask his mother again to pay. The procedure was considered cosmetic and as such, he is responsible for payment. Since he paid the first time, I don't understand why he would claim that he knew nothing about this and did not hire me. He also had the option to do the procedure under straight local without an anesthesiologist but did not opt for that.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

It is true that I had a procedure

with this company before. At that time, I was given two separate quotes:

one for the anesthesia and one for the doctor. My mother even had to request a break-down of charges in the first surgery because the anesthesiologist did not provide one, but at least I was told there was a separate charge for the anesthesia prior to arrival. The second time, which is

the charge that is at issue, [redacted] from [redacted]'s office told me over the phone prior to arriving in New York that the procedure would cost $8,000 and that everything was included. I was never given a written document with a break-down, but only a verbal one. Even when I saw the anesthesiologist prior to the procedure, nothing was said to me about charges. It was only after the procedure that I was told that I had

to pay separate for the anesthesia. I told them I did not have the money

at the time and that I was told that everything was included. Then the

anesthesiologist told me that they would bill my insurance company.

I never heard anything again until I received a letter from TD Collections

agency about a month ago.

Review: On 5/**/12, my spouse, [redacted], had an [redacted] by [redacted]. Innovative Anesthesia Solutions demanded full payment at the time of service. I used my Chase Freedom Visa credit card and paid $500.00 at the time of the procedure (I can provide proof of payment). We were told to submit the receipt to our insurance for reimbursement. We called the office of Innovative Anesthesia Solutions for a receipt an a Explanation of Payment / Benefits as require by our insurance, Aetna. The representative from Innovative Anesthesia Solutions refused to provide a receipt and sent a cryptic form that does not detail the payment made at the time of service. Innovative Anesthesia Solutions did take down our insurance details and invoiced Aetna for $1,650.00, which Aetna remitted $937.72 on 7/**/12. Further, we have been asked to fill out an appeals form for Innovative Anesthesia Solutions in an effort to receive further payment from Aetna. To date, I do not have the ability to receive reimbursement from Aetna and nnovative Anesthesia Solutions has been been twice paid for services.Desired Settlement: Innovative Anesthesia Solutions has been twice paid for services. Innovative Anesthesia Solutions should remit the $500.00 paid at the time of service to me, [redacted], or return the $937.72 disbursed to Innovative Anesthesia Solutions by Aetna on 7/**/12 and provide me with adequate documentation to receive reimbursement for my payment of $500.00.

Business

Response:

The patient had an [redacted] and paid a deposit for the anesthesia services. We submitted to Aetna and they paid partially. We prefer that aetna pay for services in full as they pay for insurance to have their services covered. There is a balance of $712.28 without that $500 deposit. We tried to get aetna to pay and they refused to take a verbal appeal from us. They did indicate that they would consider an additional payment if the member calls in. The call was made 8/*/13 and the rep spoken to was [redacted] with reference number [redacted] and the phone number to call is ###-###-####. My fees are time-based and I usually cap my fees. I suggest that the patient or member contact aetna and in the interim, I can refund the deposit but they may still have a balance

Review: An invoice in the amount of $420.10 and directed to my deceased husband, [redacted], was received by me for services rendered on September **, 2005 - that is over 8 years ago. Additionally, the invoice sent had Innovative Anesthesia Solutions, PC crossed out with another company, which appears to be CAS, PC. The invoice also states that "if you believe you paid this bill, please get the front and back of your check & mail to the above." I assure you that I do not have records that go back that far, am not required to keep records that far back, and to request payment 8 years later is unreasonable and probably not valid. Any company that takes 8 years to bill for services, obviously is not the most efficient. How am I, as the consumer, assured that this chard is valid?Desired Settlement: Due to the length of time in billing and the inability of my being able to produce proof of payment and the fact that the patient is not deceased, this amount should be negated and written off.

Business

Response:

Dear [redacted],

I apologize for the delay in getting this to you. The patient is deceased and the spouse has no responsibility here at this time. I apologize for any distress this may have caused her.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,
