I am putting a check in the mail? tomorrow? for $and am sending it certified mailWe will not offer her a warranty on the work since we are paying her back half of what she paidThis whole thing is ridiculous and if we had the time we would go to arbitration but we are out months on jobs and just do not have the time to deal with herIf they would have just done it correctly as we suggested none of us would have to be going through thisI am terribly sorry it has dragged out so long we have just been very busy but I will get the check off to herThank you for all of your help with this.Regards, [redacted]

Responding to *** *** complaint. We gave you an estfor $to do the proper repair for your jobYou did not want to pay that so we told you that we would replace only the bottoms of the post wraps for $dollarsYou were ok with what was discussed so we moved forward with the
projectUpon completion we had a major rain storm which caused the paint to bubble(You were advised against painting because of the pending rain storm but you wanted the job completed.) After I received a call from you, I went to your home to look at the postsI sent an installer out to repair/repaint the posts againAt that time your husband came out yellingHe wanted the wraps to be completely replaced per the first work order of $We replaced one at no charge, but you were still unsatisfiedOn the fourth time we had been out to try again to fix the problem to your satisfaction, I told your husband we would not charge for him for the workThis project that you were never happy with cost the company $1,in laborI am sorry that you continue to express your dissatisfaction with the jobNo matter what we did or how many times we tried to fix the issue we could not seem to please youI am sorry but we did try to accommodate you but you were never happy with the outcomeSome weather is to blameLesson learned, do not to change the cost of a project to please someone who is not willing to pay to have job done right.*** ***

I am rejecting this response because: We agree this has gone on WAY too longHowever, since of the posts are damaged & they will need to be repaired we are asking for 2/of the total invoiceThe total invoice was $we will accept $and be done with thisIt will costs us more than the $to get it done correctly Regards,*** ***

I am rejecting this response because:First of all, if you just fixed the bottom of the posts we wouldn’t be going through all of thisThere was no reason to cut portions of the post out & replace itJust the bottom had dry rotIt looks worse now than it did with the dry rotSecondly, why would I insist on painting? You guys are supposed to be the experts not meYou told your guys it was a few hour job & they told me you were annoyed they were still here after 6+ hoursI would never tell them to paint if I knew that the rain would damage the work that was doneI understand it rains but if it wasn’t a good idea to paint that's on you not USYou were the one when you came out to look at the job that told both John & myself that YOU would replace ALL front facing wraps not You also apologized for the mess your guys left on our porch with the caulking and said that would e taken care of tooYou said, “I'm not making excuse's for my guys but my guy just returned from work after being run over by a car” Not sure if that was to make us feel better at the time or whatThe second guy that came out was surprised that bondo was used on the jobMy biggest complaint I have with Caldwell was their lack of concern & their lack of returning my many messages about their workYou would think they would have been more provocative in resolving this problem *** ***

I am putting a check in the mail tomorrow for $350.00 and am sending it certified mail. We will not offer her a warranty on the work since we are paying her back half of what she paid. This whole thing is ridiculous and if we had the time we would go to arbitration but we are out 2 months on jobs and just do not have the time to deal with her. If they would have just done it correctly as we suggested none of us would have to be going through this. I am terribly sorry it has dragged out so long we have just been very busy but I will get the check off to her. Thank you for all of your help with this.Regards,[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: We agree this has gone on WAY too long. However, since 2 of the 3 posts are damaged & they will need to be repaired we are asking for 2/3 of the total invoice. The total invoice was $662.80 we will accept $440 and be done with this. It will costs us more than the $440 to get it done correctly.  Regards,[redacted]
