Refund
Tried getting a refund from thomas Montgomery and quitting. He said if I quit I would have to pay more than 16k. He's using his own contract to extort people for money. He never promises to work with you for 100k capital but never produces. I lost $300. Don't know how to get it back.

SCAM! RUN FAR AND FAST, THEY CHARGE HIGH FEES FOR LOW SERVICE, IF ANY SERVICE AT ALL!!

This company is a total SCAM! They offer nothing but predatory bait & switch lending practices. Stay far away from these SS!!!!

I filled out all applications that was advised by Thomas Montgomery from ICS. After a month never heard back from him or Madison *** They "guaranteed you capital raise $100,000." They over promised and never delivered. All I get is daily advertising emails. I tried to follow up weekly. Thomas or Madison will reply and then I never hear back and the cycle starts all over again. DO NOT USE them. STAY away from this company.

Innovative Capital Strategies promises to be able to help you raise $100,000 dollars for your business in exchange for a fee they collect from your awarded loan amount. They promise to help you rebuild your credit with the Total Credit Rebuild program to become eligible tor a $100,000 dollar business loan. However, they do not have employees who are well versed on anything about their own company, finances, loans, credit or the processes they advertise. After many different emails with Thomas *** where important questions about what the next steps are, were not responded to for weeks at a time, and answers to these questions were never provided it was clear this company is not a legitimate organization, and is headed for a class action law suit. I applied for the Total Credit Rebuild program but was never given any follow up regarding it despite the many emails sent, after submitting personal financial information. They make unrealistic promises, take personal information, financial information, and do not deliver results, or answer inquiries from customers. I encourage you to contact an attorney if this company has taken your information at any point, as it is not being used for the purposes they set forth and promise. It is a scam, and the public should be protected from this company.

If I could give them negative stars I would. This company unfortunately preys on people who are truly desperate to get capital for their small business. I'm a stay at home mom, recently battled cancer and through my journey I wanted to help people opening a small business but due to the same illness we didn't have a lot of liquid. We were referred to this company and we thought it was a dream come true. Until the nightmare started. First they referred us to another lending company who ruined my husband's credit by sending off multiple credit card applications. After getting small personal credit cards under his name that made his credit score dipped 28 points, comes these invoices. One from the company they referred us to and then from ICS. Then the $2500 invoice came and they refused to help us further until it was paid. So so far we had paid $5k worth of fees for $10k worth of credit cards (7 credit cards that ranges from $1500-2k). We were livid and asked what's going on and then we're sent to yet another company to apply for another loan. We got declined and found out that this particular lender do not accept a start up that has a leased space which is who we are. This company do not know what they are doing nor care about their clients. They didn't do any due diligence about their client and instead only cared about their fees. I have no idea how they sleep at night preying on people like us who came to them for help. We are hurting so much and now they won't even refund us even though we have not received the funding that was promised. They have been difficult to talk to nor communicate with from the start. My husband is our lifeline and all I feel now is guilt and regret. I wanted to help our family with this business and instead put my trust on this company that ruined everything for us. I still can't believe we got scammed into this. My husband and I are good people that wanted to do good for others and I don't know what kind of people that would do this to us. We hope no one else goes through what we are going through now.

This company is advertising that they help small business owners gain business capital, when they really are opening up high limit credit cards
All I can say is RUN FROM THIS COMPANY! Thomas Montgomery came out to a financial seminar we had and did a convincing presentation representing himself as an *** association. He stated his company (ICS) received a grant to help small business owners gain access to capital for their business. No credit requirements, no years in business (RED FLAG). He presented well, knew all the right terms and lingo to make you think he was definitely connected to the *** He promoted the program by saying ICS was getting you "underwriter approved" so that you could qualify for *** lending of no less than $100,000. As a matter of fact, it was guaranteed. Well right away you find out that that's not at all what he or his company of criminals are doing. They are gaining access to your credit report, applying for credit (in your business name) then strong arming you to pay them from the credit limit you were issued. In my case it was $6500 one week from one card. Then he came back around for a "performance fee" of $2500, then he came back the following week invoicing for an additional $6500 for the third party. All of which were paid. Then the straw was he invoiced us for additional $20,000 for a licensing fee for a Branch Office that we actually had just started. Something that we knew nothing about or why we were even being asked to pay? He then became aggressive, stating we had to pay within 48 hours or he would ruin our credit with collections. He is awful and I submit that he is doing this mostly to black people because he thinks we won't fight back. He recruits by using language that he knows most new business owners would jump at. We need and want business funding, but in the end, you end up paying him more than you ever would ever pay a bank. You end up DEEP in debt, and your business never gets that $100,000 guaranteed funding. As a matter of fact, not one person can has ever produced that proof. He is a scam, con artist, with a crew to help him scam you. Trust me when I say it's not worth it. Look up Business Credit Literacy and Credit Suite, you'll see the same people running the same scam, just using a different name. I implore you to please write a review so that good people aren't hurt from a small town scam artist.

Desired Outcome

Refund of all payments

Innovative Capital Strategies Response • Feb 12, 2020

Client paid a $300 non-refundable processing fee and agreed to a written agreement that requires arbitration. Client has not filed arbitration and is not complying to the terms and conditions that they promised to.

If you'd like to review communication log as well as the client's personal credit challenges, we are happy to provide.

Please dismiss this case as without merit and inconsistent with the written terms that the client agreed to at enrollment.

This person is an absolute liar. I did not pay the $300 enrollment which means this person is just providing a generic response to anyone that decides to confront them on their BS. I actually did not agreed to anything in writing, so you would definitely need to provide that documentation. What I can provide though is the text messages of you telling me you will alter my name on my utility bill, and change my name on other legal documents so that you can send the documents to where ever you were going to send them, because I was recently marriage, and my information did not match. I can definitely provide that. Not to mention the lies your company sent to us via email. So maybe you've screwed over so many people that you have me mixed up with someone else, but you would need to provide that communication log, which I'm sure doesn't exist because like everything else your company, it's a fraud.

Innovative Capital Strategies Response • Feb 13, 2020

Client is bound to the Terms & Conditions entered into when they paid and enrolled.

Of Innovative Capital Strategies, Inc. Tried To Scam Me Out Of $6110.00 dollars For Business & Personal Credit Funding Towards An SBA Loan!

Do not do business with this fraudulent credit and business credit development company for small businesses. They only take your money with the intent of ruining your credit and your financial life!

I watched an online webinar given by Estella *** A Branch Manager Of Innovative Capital Strategies, Inc. She spoke about how this non-profit organization headed by Thomas Montgomery, an ex-college professor, and former SBA employee, had formulated a company that would help individuals acquire guaranteed business credit of $100k.

This credit building educational platform was tailored for underserved minorities to qualify for hard to acquire SBA loans of 2% for 10 years.

On the company's website it states:

Through a grant-funded program, we assist small businesses in qualifying for SBA and business loans through our Capital Ready & Business Funding Program.

Innovative Capital Strategies, Inc. (ICS) has been retained by a 501(c)(3) non-profit that is a member of the Money Smart Alliance developed by the SBA

Estella *** convinced me that ICS was the company that was going to help my son and I build our business credit for future SBA and minority business loans qualification. All I needed to do was to invest in a $300 application fee and they would get the paperwork going to get funding for me within 30 days.

Upon completion of paying for the service I received from *** I received an invoice from Thomas Montgomery via email demanding that I pay their 9.5% performance fee plus the $2500 refundable fee once I complete the $100k rounds of credit obligation.

If I Did Not Pay the $6,110.00 invoice, I would be charged $50 dollars a day until the invoiced was paid in full.

I was completely shocked and spoke with Thomas Montgomery and he calmly told me that I did agree to the terms and conditions of the contract when I signed up for the program.

I went to his website and saw the page with the small print of terms of condition that you have to check off. When I went to the separate page, I saw the fraudulent terms and conditions I was NEVER told of by Ms. Estella *** nor did I give her written or verbal agreement to sign or check off the terms or conditions on my behalf.

Moreover, I contacted *** whom I did have a contract with to perform services and they informed me that Mr. *** had breached their contractual referral agreement by, in their words," Double Dipping". Double Dipping means I paid twice for the one service.

*** got a check from them for referring me and got paid by me for doing performing the credit building service that he never did.

Hence, Mr. *** and Ms. Estella *** performed Credit Card Fraud at my expense. I have filed several Claim disputes with all the credit card companies for the return of the Application fee $300, the performance fee ($3,110) and the bogus $2500 fee that forces me to complete the program of $100k credit funding.

This client enrolled in the Capital Ready Program and asked us to help rise capital. She agreed to the Terms & Conditions and we complied to our promises. She has not.

We successfully helped her raise capital (quickly) despite her low verifiable income.

If she is not entirely satisfied, she agreed to use Arbitration which she has not done so as of this time. She is violating our agreement by handling in this way and will be held legally liable.

We can provide you her DOB and SSN, if needed. Just request at [email protected]

Customer Response • Feb 12, 2020

Firstly, Innovative Capital Strategies Inc. has just violated the Federal Credit Reporting Act of Confidentiality by threatening my privacy to provide, without my consent, my private information such as a physical address, DOB and SSN to the Revdex.com.

Since this is a Federal matter, I am contacting the FBI and the local police department to file an Identity Theft Report against ICS.

Secondly, this company has committed Credit Card Fraud by taking my credit card information over the phone without getting my permission verbally, in writing or electronically to agree to ICS Terms & Conditions. I NEVER SIGNED UP FOR THEIR PROGRAM ON THEIR WEBSITE NOR KNEW ABOUT THEIR WEBSITE UNTIL I RECEIVED THIS FRAUDULENT INVOICE of $6110.00.

This company never provided me with any capital funding. The capital funding I received was from *** whom ICS is an affiliate of. They know nothing about my so-called (low verifiable income) which is slanderous and a breach of privacy and confidentiality under the FCRA because they were only a referral source.

They violated the affiliate program with *** which does not allow double-dipping. This means they illegally charged me twice for the same service that they received a commission for referring me.

Hence, I am not in violation of an agreement that I did not sign nor agreed to. And, I have been reimbursed $300 NON-REFUNDABLE Application by the credit card company as I dispute the claim with ICS. THEREFORE, ANY SO-CALLED AGREEMENT IS NULL IN VOID by the credit card company's attorneys during the investigation of this Fraudulent Credit and business credit literacy not-for-profit company.
