D*** M***just like the lady stated that the board was installed in properly, so if the installer had checked the board he could have seen that it had no screws in the board!!!! How do I know that the opener did not have to much tension on it which would cause to board to be pulled outAll I know is that we can say who is to blame all day but that is not going to accomplish anything all I know is the board came off the wall and I was charged $to put screws back in the woodI should not have to take all the responsibly I would be happy split the charge

We installed a new opener for Mr. M[redacted] in November 2017 with no issues. He later called us in January saying the "wood had fallen down" and said he could probably fix it himself but we suggested that he not mess with it because it can be very dangerous due to the tension of springs and cables. went out within the hour to his house and saw it was actually the framing of the door that had pulled out from the wall. We did not do the framing, his builder or someone else did the framing, and the tech who was sent out noticed that the framing was not attached to a stud which is why it pulled out from the wall. We install openers on a daily basis and do not take responsibility for framework that has been done by someone else. If the framework was done correctly to begin with there would be no issues--but unfortunately when we installed the opener there was no way for us to know that whoever did the framework did not do it correctly. When we went back out there we made sure to screw the framework into a stud, which should have been done correctly by the framer to begin with. We stand behind our work and we do not take responsibility for another contractor's failure to follow standard framing procedures. We regret that this happened but this is an issue that needs to be taken up with Mr.Moore's builder or whoever framed the garage. We are glad no one was injured and no property was damaged and the customer now has a functioning garage door and the header board is now attached to a stud like it should have been to begin with. We essentially fixed someone else's amateur framing job, which should have been done correctly to begin with, and now we are getting blamed for the repercussions of their shoddy work. Hope this helps to clear up this incident.Thank you,
