Ms [redacted] ,Thank you for taking my call today This is in regards to complaint ID [redacted] .The Barton Creek Country Club has been in contact with our legal counsel and have come up with an alternative resolution for our inactive members affected by the recent bylaw changes The alternative resolution will be finalized by Tuesday, February 14th We plan to send out a new mailer to all the inactive members on the transfer list by the end of next week Please pass this information on to Mr [redacted] .Thank you for your assistance

Complaint: [redacted] We are rejecting this response because: As an incentive to join, the Club said we could sell our membership at any time and receive 1/of the current member rateThe amount would be $37,Now they are giving us two optionsOne is to walk away and lose the $37,or the second is to give the membership to an adult childOur children don't live here or already have a club membershipNone play golf and none want to pay $per month for something they can't use.The Club has told current members and prospective members they have capped the golf memberships at members so that the golf courses won't be too crowdedBut they have active members and want the members on the transfer list to be forced to become active to have the remote possibility of selling their membershipThis means the active members would then be 1,golf members - members exceeding golf course recommendationsThus, the Club must be lying to their current active members or prospects about the number of golfers allowed on the coursesThe Club has been bought by the [redacted] hotel chainI assume the chain is pulling this scam with all the clubs they own.I feel Barton Creek Country Club is not going to give us anything and will take our assetI think Revdex.com should alert the community about this scam, so the public will know how [redacted] operates with no ethical or moral valuesWe would sue if youngerMaybe this would force the Club to act as a responsible member of this communityHowever, the Club knows we are in our twilight years on a fixed income, so this is nothing but a power play by [redacted] to abuse the elderlyIf you want to get the media involved, I would be glad to discuss the situation on camera or with reportersI know several other members that would be happy to talk to the press Regards, [redacted]

But they have 950 active members and want the 457 members on the transfer list to be forced to become active to have the remote possibility of selling their membership. This means the active members would then be 1,407 golf members - 207 members exceeding golf course recommendations. Thus, the Club must be lying to their current active members or prospects about the number of golfers allowed on the courses. The Club has been bought by the [redacted] hotel chain. I assume the chain is pulling this scam with all the clubs they own.I feel Barton Creek Country Club is not going to give us anything and will take our asset. A new option for Mr. [redacted] to review will be sent via USPS.  The new letter will allow for Mr. [redacted] to choose two payment options.  I will await his response once he receives his letter.
