Innovative Home Concepts provided and outstanding experience from start to finish on roofing and gutter installation Sales Person Rich Cwas professional and followed up on all aspects of the job The installation team did outstanding work and executed on all components including thorough clean-up Overall the company did what they said they would do

Good morningI was waiting to respond because we had so much back and forth with the resolutionI was waiting until we had something set in stone for repairs. We have contacted *** *** *** of Crystal Lake, IL to give us and estimate on bringing the fireplace up to code and make it safe and functionalAfter JR and the homeowner were corresponding, it was originally set up to do the repairs on Monday , January at 8AMUnfortunately, due to the increased snow fall, we are unable to do the repairs on the roof. Therefore, *** , from *** *** ***, and the homeowner are going to communicate on setting up a new repair dateInnovative Home Concepts will be paying for the costs of the repair and will remain in contact to ensure it gets completed.I really have no further updates except for that we have been in communication with the homeowners to get this matter resolved and yes, we dropped the ball on thisIt should have been taken care of immediately after determining the parts were no longer made for their size chimney. There is no excuse for that.We hope to have this wrapped up within the next week

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/08/12) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
What response? There isn't ANY offerI've complained about their bogus work since last Fall or somewhere around there in latter part of They have been deceptive from the first unannounced arrival on our property, and never, EVER provided any sign or semblance of having ANY metal roofing supervisor or crewWe've been deceivedI have pictures of almost everything, including poor workmanship and moreThey NEVER requested nor had a permit inspectionHow could they claim they were ever done?
Apparently we will have to find an attorney

My experience with Innovative Home Concepts went very well from initial discussions with the sales representative, Holly ***, at the Antioch Home/Business Fair to onsite sales representative, Bill ***, to the actual installation of the leafless gutter system Everyone affiliated with the process was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with

We used Innovative Home Concepts for a new roof and new siding From the beginning, our experience was wonderful! John, the Sales Manager, spent a lot of time with us from the initial inspection, insurance inspection and picking out the roof and siding He was patient and answered all of our questions He wasn't in a rush and even humored my year old showing her colors of siding that she would like Manny, kept in touch with us every step of the way, keeping us posted and on task Everything happened when he said it would The crews, both the roofers and siders were fantastic! I feel they took pride in their work and cleaned up very well when the jobs were done The siders asked question after question to make sure they did things as we wanted it No assumptions were made I have already recommended them to our friends and family Such a great place to do business with

Overall installation and workmanship was very professional and would recommend this company

As stated by our office today, we will be mailing your payment back to you immediatelyWe sincerely apologize for the

Not that it is your problem and I'm not trying to make excuses, we did a very poor job communicating with you folks on this project, and we are sorryOur siders are working 6-days a week from sun up to sun down and we are still booked out weeksWe have made repeated attempts to find more help but have been unable to find workers that have the level of expertise installing siding that we demandWe have posted dozens of want ads with little responseAnd the workers that are responding, you honestly wouldn't want working on your home
These recent storms that looked like a blessing have turned into our curseLiterally, the siding on tens of thousands of homes have been damaged and are being paid for by insurance companiesThis influx of siding work in the Chicago market has swallowed up the work force and has made finding qualified workers nearly impossible
We probably could sacrifice quality and hire less qualified installers, like other companies have done, but that would be doing our customers a disservice
On top of our labor shortage we lost our production manager to a competitor which didn't help our scheduling and customer communication
I know this sounds like a sob story but we honestly try our best to do good work and make happy customersEveryone that works here works very hard and genuinely cares about our customersIf people only knew how poorly some customers treat our staffI honestly can't believe they stick around
Again I'm not trying to make excuses, we messed up communicating with you and for that I sincerely apologizeI also apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you and truly wish you the best on getting your home back together

There was no attempt to address in the case if the exposed installation is damaged as part of the delaysThis company has made no good faith attempt to offer or recommend any alternative company
How will this company respond if in fact the exposed installation is damaged as part of their delayDue to their inability to communicate their challenges, it will likely be another weeks prior to this being addressed
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2014/10/03) */
We have no recommendation for an alternate company
As far as the exposed installationI reference the condo complex at the corner of route ** and route ** in *** (otherwise known as the tyvek tower), it sat for years with windows installed and only tyvek on the exteriorThey have since installed siding over the tyvekThe service company that performed the work should have taken precautions to make sure the area was water tightIf in fact there is damage pursuit that company for not securing the area properly
Your requested refund was mailed and you should have already received it
We again sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:The issues in the original complaint have not all been resolved and NO attempt has been made by Innovative Home Concepts to contact me or return my calls or emails as to the status of my work. That is the most infuriating part of all this. They want to make it right but they are not trying to in the least. Since filing this complaint, I have ceased contacting them on my end. The chimneys are no longer crooked as stated previously but we have no idea if they are repaired and have not been confidently able to use our fireplace this fall, for the holidays or during this cold weather. We had no knowledge of the chimney being "shot" before they stepped on the roof and nothing was ever said to us by Innovative before or during the job indicating thatI was home with the roofers the entire time and they never said a word. Innovative clearly committed to more than they could do, but that is not our fault. They need to make it right and prove to us that the work has been completed and the fireplace is SAFE to use. The drip edge has not been fixed, the solution was to refund money and that has not happened either. The sofit is smoothed out but it was damaged during the removal of our old roof. Since setting the appointment for he second chimney repair company at Innovative's request, we have had no contact with them at all. My original complaint stands. The issues have not been resolved. They need to step up their poor cus***er service call, and follow up to resolve this. My mortgage company and insurance company are both aware that final payment has not been made and why. I still have the check since September!! A final inspection is required by my mortgage company and it can't be scheduled until this is resolved
Sincerely,
*** ***

If it were possible to give negative stars I would I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Innovative Home Concepts The after install service is some of the worst I have experienced I felt as if I was treated very poorly, especially for being a female as well Lots of run around until my boyfriend called Keep in mind he was on deployment with the military when he called so it was not easy for him to call That should give you a perspective of the level of frustration I was feeling during this process that I had to resort to him calling to get a response Only after that phone call do I get a response I really wish I could recommend them, but I can't In my opinion, the cost savings does not outweigh the struggle I had afterwards I would have been better off spending a little more money and going with a bigger name company

As far as the demand to refund all the money- We simply cannot do thatWe have invested time and money into purchasing the windows, installation, service calls (we have already been back to the property more than times), etcOn one occasion, we have already replaced all the window sashes
at no charge to the customer because they wanted night latches which were not originally included in their orderWe have gone above and beyond to make these homeowners happyOur costs on this job have already exceeded the contract price due to all the repairs we have made and extra work we have done in attempts to make a happy customer, but we are willing to go out again if the customer grants us access to the homeWe just ask that the customer pay their balance due of $10,to us at the time of the visit. We have been willing to come back out, but have been denied access to the home on more than one occasionWe are well aware of the complaint as it's been going on for some time. To say in the complaint that they have not received a call back is untrueI have spoken to them several times myself as well as our production manager. In addition, we have made several calls to the homeowner since this complaint has been filed and the homeowner will not return our calls to schedule a visitThis is the reason for my delay in respondingWe were trying to reach them to resolve the issue but to no avail

Innovative Home Concepts did an outstanding job of replacing the roof on my home! It was a pleasure working with Rich Cof Innovative...he was very prompt, responsive, professional and answered all of my questionsI would and have recommended Innovative Home Concepts to friends, neighbors and family

I had my roof and siding replaced by Innovative Home ConceptI dealt with Rich *** the whole time and he was very professional and always let me know what was going to happenYes the roofers were Polish, but I had no problems with themWhen I was younger I did alot of roofing and I could tell they knew what they were doingThe roofing and siding crews where very efficient and professonal and treated me and my property with respectMy wife and I are very pleased with their work and our house looks beautiful

We are refunding the entire [redacted] deposit as they have requested. Their refund will be issued and mailed no...

later than next Friday, October 3rd. We wish only the best for [redacted] and [redacted].

Our production Manager, ** and our Head foreman, [redacted] are meeting the [redacted] at 5:30 tonight (July 20). We expect to receive payment in full upon completion of repairs today.

You don't always get what you pay for! They over charge and provide non English speaking crews; who are very difficult to communicate with; make sure you have your own polish or Spanish translator available. The crew was also far from professional and couldn't care less of their quality or speed at which they worked. Would have rather paid the whole bill on my own instead of using insurance after dealing with the poor workmanship, lack of professionalism from the office and crew, inadequate communications and 'used car salesman' techniques. They cut corners everywhere and caused a lot of damage to my older roof. Even after stressing the importance of being careful. Stay away from this company.

>
> Thank you for calling me and for the email address. I would like to tell you from the beginning that I had no issues with you personally, so I want to proceed with getting everything in writing from this point onward as there have been too many untruths and miscommunication thrown around via what actually has happened.
>
> First, I would like to clarify a few points:
>
> 1.) Neither my son nor I ever claimed that we notified you to cancel the contract. The cancellation letter was mailed via standard mail to the company address and, unfortunately, I have no documentation on that. We attempted to get a hold of them directly via phone to which we never had our calls returned. Of course they claim they never received anything conveniently; however, I am not sure how or why they came under the impression that we tried to contact you to cancel because we all know that never happened. I did not realize you were a contractor for them and not an employee, but I wanted to clarify this point so you are not under the impression that any claims were made by us regarding cancellation through you, which was never said.
>
> 2.) Neither my son nor I were aware that work was being started on the house, contrary to what you claimed in your voicemail. The first indication I had was a call from the company the morning the work was scheduled to start, to which I verbally stated we had attempted to cancel the contract and did not want them to proceed. They started regardless even though no one was home, and the only way we found out was from the neighbor's text message, to which my son immediately got in contact with the company and crew to try to stop them. There are phone records to back all of this up, so for you to state that we perpetrated a criminal act by allowing them to proceed is untruthful and libelous. But, as you said, we don't want to go there. They in fact did stop working when they were notified by my son, as the full job was not completed and the garage was not started.
>
> Regardless of all of this, we are where we are, and I also agree that going down the path of getting lawyers, liens, and lawsuits involved is going to be too time consuming and costly for all parties involved, especially that I never had the intention of not paying for the work done.
>
> I would like to propose the following solution to amicably and professionally resolve this dispute. I inspected the work to the house and for the most part it looks good. There is one down spout that was not installed on the north-west side of the house as we had discussed, and the crew did not finish caulking the bottoms of all the downspouts that were installed (they only completed the front of the house). Also, some of the brackets to connect the gutters to the side of the house were not fully attached.
>
> What I am proposing is that the crew come back to complete the work on the house to my specifications at a predetermined time when I will be present to supervise and oversee the work is completed, and that they also complete the garage as stated in the initial contract.
>
> Once they complete the work, and I have inspected to see that everything is done, I will pay the full amount as we initially agreed upon.
>
> I would also like a statement/contract in writing outlining the extent of the lifetime warranty of the product and what is covered/who will do the work should any future problems arise.
>
> I think this is a reasonable solution to the messy situation this has all become and hope that you agree. This was also one solution proposed by the company representative ([redacted], I believe) when I had a three way conversation with him and my credit card company representative. So let's make an appointment at least two days in advance by email and phone confirmation, one that is convenient for the crew and myself to be present, see the work completed and paid for in full by credit card on the same day.
>
> Sincerely,

As requested, we will be completing the work as outlined in our contract as specified in the above resolution.
We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to completing the work to the [redacted]'s satisfaction.

A friend of mine from work recommend this company because they had done some work on their house. Since my house was done I have recommended this company to 2 of my friends and my sister who all had good experiences. Thank God!

I was looking to basically have the entire outside of my house redone. It was build in 1962. I bought it in 2012 in foreclosure. Apparently before the bank took it, the people that owned it had not done any updating since...um...1962! The roof was in really bad shape, the siding was old and faded aluminum, the windows were single pane, dirty wood windows, and the gutters had obviously been over flowing for years because they were streaked black so badly that it would have been easier to remove the paint off of them then clean the gunk.

I am writing this review in retrospective. I hired Innovative in October of 2013 and the work was done in the middle of November of 2013. I waited to write this review because I wanted to see how the exterior held up over the winter. Little did I know that the work would be tested during the worst winter in the history of crappy Chicago winters! Also this wasn't like giving my opinion about a sandwich shop, this was a big project, a lot of money was spent, and I wanted to have the time to write a detailed review worthy of the service I received.

Let me start by saying this company has a really good reputation in my area, Crystal Lake. They have won awards and showed me a bunch of certificates and accolades that they had won, jobs that they did in the area, surveys that people had filled out, etc. But honestly, the real reason I went with them was because my friend recommended them and they did everything they said they would from the first time that I called them. Including, they actually answered their phone when I called them for an estimate!

I called a bunch of other companies and there were only 2 that actually answered their phone... during business hours no less! So guess what, they were the two that I had come out to win my business...sorry, answer your phone.

My sales guy John was out to my house 3 times bringing samples and measuring and finding out what I was looking to do. He was young but surprisingly very patient and very confident in what he was selling. I think he was nicely rewarded for his efforts because I spent somewhere in the range of $53,252.00 with his company (but whose counting). New roof, siding, gutter guards and gutters, and new windows throughout the house.

One thing that really impressed me about this company was their focus on energy efficient home improvements and the types of products that they carry. I had seen vinyl and wood windows but I had never seen the composite type window they had. I had seen gutters and screens before but had never seen the leaf guard gutter they had, and I had seen all kinds of siding at Menards and Home Depot but had never seen the siding that they had with insulation form fitted behind it. Really nice products.

So once I signed the contract for the work we were off to the races. The work started about 6 weeks later because we had to wait on the windows that were custom made to fit the house. But after they started construction, the process went boom, boom, boom. They did the roof first and that took a day and a half, then they did the windows which took 3 days, then the siding which took 5 days, then the gutters were last and that took about 1 day. Each part of the house was done by a different crew but was coordinated very well. I think I only remember two days in the two weeks they worked on my house that someone wasn't there working. When I would get home from work around 6, they were usually gone and the work area was always tidied up.

My neighbor, who is retired, got a kick out the whole production. I am pretty sure he watched the whole thing from his garage. His comments were that he couldn't believe how hard the guys worked and was surprised that they never took breaks.

Regardless, it was great coming home to see the progress each day.

When the project was complete, John came back out and we went over the whole project. There was one area on the siding that I was not thrilled about but after he explained why they did it, I accepted it. Other than that, everything looked great.

I purposely went with more energy efficient windows and went with the siding with the insulation behind it to see if there would actually be a difference. I can say, with out a doubt it makes a huge difference. My gas bills from last winter (the winter that wouldn't die) were significantly lower than the first winter we were in the house in 2012. I mean, literally almost half as much. I knew my old windows and siding were bad, but that was ridiculous.

My house looks great, it is much more energy efficient, and I am very happy with the work that Innovative Home Concepts did for me and I would and actually have highly recommended them several times.
