Neither my son nor I ever claimed that we notified you to cancel the contractThe cancellation letter was mailed via standard mail to the company address and, unfortunately, I have no documentation on thatWe attempted to get a hold of them directly via phone to which we never had our calls returnedOf course they claim they never received anything conveniently; however, I am not sure how or why they came under the impression that we tried to contact you to cancel because we all know that never happenedI did not realize you were a contractor for them and not an employee, but I wanted to clarify this point so you are not under the impression that any claims were made by us regarding cancellation through you, which was never said > > 2.) Neither my son nor I were aware that work was being started on the house, contrary to what you claimed in your voicemailThe first indication I had was a call from the company the morning the work was scheduled to start, to which I verbally stated we had attempted to cancel the contract and did not want them to proceedThey started regardless even though no one was home, and the only way we found out was from the neighbor's text message, to which my son immediately got in contact with the company and crew to try to stop themThere are phone records to back all of this up, so for you to state that we perpetrated a criminal act by allowing them to proceed is untruthful and libelousBut, as you said, we don't want to go thereThey in fact did stop working when they were notified by my son, as the full job was not completed and the garage was not started > > Regardless of all of this, we are where we are, and I also agree that going down the path of getting lawyers, liens, and lawsuits involved is going to be too time consuming and costly for all parties involved, especially that I never had the intention of not paying for the work done > > I would like to propose the following solution to amicably and professionally resolve this disputeI inspected the work to the house and for the most part it looks goodThere is one down spout that was not installed on the north-west side of the house as we had discussed, and the crew did not finish caulking the bottoms of all the downspouts that were installed (they only completed the front of the house)Also, some of the brackets to connect the gutters to the side of the house were not fully attached > > What I am proposing is that the crew come back to complete the work on the house to my specifications at a predetermined time when I will be present to supervise and oversee the work is completed, and that they also complete the garage as stated in the initial contract > > Once they complete the work, and I have inspected to see that everything is done, I will pay the full amount as we initially agreed upon > > I would also like a statement/contract in writing outlining the extent of the lifetime warranty of the product and what is covered/who will do the work should any future problems arise > > I think this is a reasonable solution to the messy situation this has all become and hope that you agreeThis was also one solution proposed by the company representative (***, I believe) when I had a three way conversation with him and my credit card company representativeSo let's make an appointment at least two days in advance by email and phone confirmation, one that is convenient for the crew and myself to be present, see the work completed and paid for in full by credit card on the same day > > Sincerely, > > [redacted] As requested, we will be completing the work as outlined in our contract as specified in the above resolution We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to completing the work to the [redacted] 's satisfaction

This company put up my roof they did it in November when it was freezing, they need a great job, they had the job done in days and cleaned up all the stuff from the old roof quickly

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: No installation is complete until it is done correctly, no matter how many times the contractor has to returnThe night latches were part of the sales when the sales person performed the demonstration at our home (showed us a sample with night latches, not an extra)Your costs should not be our problem, get it right the first time to avoid returnsWe have dealt with several different project managers, the last was [redacted] and all the problems (window(s), patio door and damaged occurred during installation) were gone through which was many months ago (should a window installation take almost years), I have spoken (face to face & via phone call) that he would call back and schedule an inspection as he is not familiar with the problems being new to the position We have been spoken to when we made the call to find out what is going on with the projectWe have phone numbers to be contacted with which all have voice mail (Home ***-***- [redacted] Cell ***-***- [redacted] Cell ***-***-***), we are not avoiding the issues we want to get them resolved (windows not locking & now broken glass all safety issues)The list of problems with the windows keeps growing, we have new windows and cannot even utilize some of them, need answers as the reason why Sincerely, [redacted]

First and foremost, we sincerely apologize that your experience with us was not completely satisfactory We always strive to provide outstanding cus***er service and produce a quality product We have installed over 3,roofs (this summer alone) and we have never run into an issue like thisThe replacement chimneys were crooked and we did go back and correct that as well as the issues with the drip edge and soffit However, the existing chimney itself was really the root of the problem on this job The chimney was shot before our crew ever stepped foot on that roof We have had two HVAC Professionals out to rectify the problem and a third Chimney expert ready to step in as well We do want to assist in getting this resolved, but we have struggled with finding the right qualified Chimney expert to step in and do it the right way We fell short on this aspect of the project and we do still want to be allowed the opportunity to help make it right We do not want to make excuses or deny that we could have done things differently It has been a learning experience for us and we want nothing more than to see this through Our roofers install chimney flashing, flue caps, and chimney housing, but they are not chimney technicians and this situation was simply not in their wheelhouse

You don't always get what you pay for! They over charge and provide non English speaking crews; who are very difficult to communicate with; make sure you have your own polish or Spanish translator available. The crew was also far from professional and couldn't care less of their quality or speed at which they worked. Would have rather paid the whole bill on my own instead of using insurance after dealing with the poor workmanship, lack of professionalism from the office and crew, inadequate communications and 'used car salesman' techniques. They cut corners everywhere and caused a lot of damage to my older roof. Even after stressing the importance of being careful. Stay away from this company.

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2014/09/25) */ Contact Name and Title: [redacted] Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: ***@innovativehomeconcepts.com This Revdex.com complaint confuses us a little because we have been in communication with Mrs [redacted] Regardless of whether she called us or we called her, our office staff has been available to her As far as the resolution she is requesting: We are crediting her credit card for the $There has never been an issue with that request In regards to Mrs [redacted] 's THV warrantyHer window product warranty is with THV windows and doorsA quick google search for "thv warranties" brings up their warranty information right onlineBut to save time here is the link, http://www.thv.com/PDFs/50YrWinWrrnty.pdfWe will also be mailing Mrs [redacted] a paper copy of the warranty As far as the window screen this is unfortunately a manufacturer issue and is out of our controlWe are a dealer of THV windows and do not make the windows or window screens and have no control over when they are made or shippedWe share Mrs [redacted] 's frustration pertaining to the delay in the window screen being shippedI can tell you that THV's manufacturing is extremely backed up due to a factory relocation but we agree with Mrs [redacted] that this is just plain taking too long! If Mrs [redacted] has any questions about THV, their manufacturing process, or where her screen is she should direct them to our contact at THV, [redacted] at [redacted] (cell) or [redacted] (office)All we can promise Mrs [redacted] at this point is when the screen is shipped to us we will immediately deliver it to the [redacted] residence If Mrs [redacted] has any further questions she can call our office, as she has been, our staff is at her service Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 7, 2014/09/30) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) see attached pdf/Users/ [redacted] n/Desktop/Revdex.com needs response by oct 4th .pdf Final Consumer Response / [redacted] (4200, 11, 2014/10/15) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This started Sept 15th This is for the Revdex.comPlease can we get this simple problem solved already so I can use my warranty to get a new screenIf I had waited for the new screen to come in I would still be waiting for the replacement of the wrong trim The $was credited to my [redacted] Card Final Business Response / [redacted] (4000, 13, 2014/10/24) */ Ok, I think we are getting close to resolving this caseThe $charge back on the credit card is done, the warranty has finally gotten to Ms [redacted] , and the screen has been deliveredunfortunately it was the wrong size! A friend of mine from work recommend this company because they had done some work on their house Since my house was done I have recommended this company to of my friends and my sister who all had good experiencesThank God! I was looking to basically have the entire outside of my house redone It was build in I bought it in in foreclosure Apparently before the bank took it, the people that owned it had not done any updating since...um...1962! The roof was in really bad shape, the siding was old and faded aluminum, the windows were single pane, dirty wood windows, and the gutters had obviously been over flowing for years because they were streaked black so badly that it would have been easier to remove the paint off of them then clean the gunk I am writing this review in retrospective I hired Innovative in October of and the work was done in the middle of November of I waited to write this review because I wanted to see how the exterior held up over the winter Little did I know that the work would be tested during the worst winter in the history of crappy Chicago winters! Also this wasn't like giving my opinion about a sandwich shop, this was a big project, a lot of money was spent, and I wanted to have the time to write a detailed review worthy of the service I received Let me start by saying this company has a really good reputation in my area, Crystal Lake They have won awards and showed me a bunch of certificates and accolades that they had won, jobs that they did in the area, surveys that people had filled out, etc But honestly, the real reason I went with them was because my friend recommended them and they did everything they said they would from the first time that I called them Including, they actually answered their phone when I called them for an estimate! I called a bunch of other companies and there were only that actually answered their phoneduring business hours no less! So guess what, they were the two that I had come out to win my business...sorry, answer your phone My sales guy John was out to my house times bringing samples and measuring and finding out what I was looking to do He was young but surprisingly very patient and very confident in what he was selling I think he was nicely rewarded for his efforts because I spent somewhere in the range of $53,with his company (but whose counting) New roof, siding, gutter guards and gutters, and new windows throughout the house One thing that really impressed me about this company was their focus on energy efficient home improvements and the types of products that they carry I had seen vinyl and wood windows but I had never seen the composite type window they had I had seen gutters and screens before but had never seen the leaf guard gutter they had, and I had seen all kinds of siding at Menards and Home Depot but had never seen the siding that they had with insulation form fitted behind it Really nice products So once I signed the contract for the work we were off to the races The work started about weeks later because we had to wait on the windows that were custom made to fit the house But after they started construction, the process went boom, boom, boom They did the roof first and that took a day and a half, then they did the windows which took days, then the siding which took days, then the gutters were last and that took about day Each part of the house was done by a different crew but was coordinated very well I think I only remember two days in the two weeks they worked on my house that someone wasn't there working When I would get home from work around 6, they were usually gone and the work area was always tidied up My neighbor, who is retired, got a kick out the whole production I am pretty sure he watched the whole thing from his garage His comments were that he couldn't believe how hard the guys worked and was surprised that they never took breaks Regardless, it was great coming home to see the progress each day When the project was complete, John came back out and we went over the whole project There was one area on the siding that I was not thrilled about but after he explained why they did it, I accepted it Other than that, everything looked great I purposely went with more energy efficient windows and went with the siding with the insulation behind it to see if there would actually be a difference I can say, with out a doubt it makes a huge difference My gas bills from last winter (the winter that wouldn't die) were significantly lower than the first winter we were in the house in I mean, literally almost half as much I knew my old windows and siding were bad, but that was ridiculous My house looks great, it is much more energy efficient, and I am very happy with the work that Innovative Home Concepts did for me and I would and actually have highly recommended them several times

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/07/22) */ Contact Name and Title: [redacted] , owner Contact Phone: XXXXXXXXXX Contact Email: [redacted] @sbcglobal.net I was under the impression the [redacted] 's were going to retract this complaint But in case it isn't retracted and to comply with the Revdex.com procedures, which we take very seriously, I will respond Our scheduling department had a bone head miscommunication and we showed up to install these folks roof earlyI do apologize for thatNormally our communication between crews, our office and homeowners is excellentI am looking into why we screwed up this time, it is inexcusable I also apologize for our roofing crew's carelessness while positioning their dump trailerI am sure it was never their intention to damage property but unfortunately they did These are definitely issues that have been discussed and improvements will be madeIn retrospect, the only thing we can do is apologize and try to make things better We are completing the work as contracted and the roofing crew is filing an insurance claim to cover the camper and driveway damage Again I apologizeThis is not how we normally operateWe hope to have this wrapped up to the [redacted] 's satisfaction as soon as possible Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (2000, 7, 2015/07/22) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) There was a problem with the Revdex.com web site link to close the claimMy apology fornot following up

As far as the demand to refund all the money- We simply cannot do thatWe have invested time and money into purchasing the windows, installation, service calls (we have already been back to the property more than times), etcOn one occasion, we have already replaced all the window sashes at no charge to the customer because they wanted night latches which were not originally included in their orderWe have gone above and beyond to make these homeowners happyOur costs on this job have already exceeded the contract price due to all the repairs we have made and extra work we have done in attempts to make a happy customer, but we are willing to go out again if the customer grants us access to the homeWe just ask that the customer pay their balance due of $10,to us at the time of the visitWe have been willing to come back out, but have been denied access to the home on more than one occasionWe are well aware of the complaint as it's been going on for some timeTo say in the complaint that they have not received a call back is untrueI have spoken to them several times myself as well as our production managerIn addition, we have made several calls to the homeowner since this complaint has been filed and the homeowner will not return our calls to schedule a visitThis is the reason for my delay in respondingWe were trying to reach them to resolve the issue but to no avail
