We have received the homeowners final list of what he believes we owe for damages to his houseWe have made an offer to pay for all of the damages we feel are legitimate, and are waiting for his response

They do not ring door bells or knock or communicate at all with homeownersWe have checked with local officials of all the areas we market to, and solicitation is the attempt to purposely contact a homeowner to talk withWe do not have any companies that do that and we never willI know it is a nuisance to some people and the best I can do is give the Canvassing company *** *** address and ask them to put him on the do not distribute list

I respectfully disagree,While the response is progress, I find it odd that the business relies on what they feel the definition of "solicitation" is to continue to advertise to homeowners that clearly do not wish to be contacted about services.  The posted no solicitation sign detracts from the appearance of the house enough as it is, our community does not feel we should have to post a different sign for every different type of advertising.  I understand that the business contracts out their advertising. But bottom line, that advertising company now is an extension of, and representing your company from the perspective of the consumer.  In my opinion, the best that you can do, is tell the canvassing company that they represent you, and instruct them to not post your material on doors that have a sign posted requesting no solicitation.---Original Response From Business---It is not our intent to upset people with door hanger marketing.
