Innovative Pool Concepts, Inc.

I located this company on [redacted] (now known as [redacted]") January 2015. I contacted them figuring they had been fully vetted and I wouldn't have to worry about my primary or rental property pools.

This past January, I was contacted via email and they stated my pump/filter had no pressure and that it would be a charge for a repair tech to come out to my house to diagnose the issue. When I got home I went out and noticed the o-ring to the pump cover was laying on the ground. Boy what do you know, my pump worked when the basic parts were placed back where they belong. How long did the tech run my pump dry and how much damage was done? Only time will tell. Needless to say, but I fired them from my primary residence.

On 6/26 my tenant contacted me stating the pool wasn't looking too good. I couldn't make it over until Tuesday 6/28 and was horrified when I arrived. Green basically everywhere. Keep in mind the tech was just there the past Wednesday. The next day I received an email where they confirmed the pool was green and suggested a filter cleaning for $99 and they also charged me extra for the visit because they added some more chemicals. I'm not a pool expert by any means (my pool looks awesome though since I took over doing it myself in January), but from one week to the other the filter didn't cause the green pool at my rental. After several emails back and forth where they denied they had any responsibility and that a pool turning green with normal service is normal I was done and stopped "service". The sad thing is I could tell the tech didn't even brush the pool when there for the very last time.

These two pool examples just goes to show a company is only as good as the people it hires.

Innovative Pool Concepts was referred to me by a colleague from Grad School. I was looking to step away from having to take care of my pool and having Innovative take on that responsibility. In the few months I had them handle my pool, my pool condition degraded. As far as I could tell they only came weekly to do chemical treatment and didn't vacuum or skim the water. They no longer manage my pool and I can physically see that my pool has improved.

This company is awesome - they are friendly (the owner, [redacted], is courteous and he answers all questions and he does so very promptly), the techs are great - they are very thorough, and it is not too expensive... I have been with IPC for a couple years and would not think of switching pool companies anytime soon... keep up the good work, Innovative!
