To whom it may concern:This is a response to a complaint filed by [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] is signed as an author since 2014.  The delay in publishing Mr. [redacted]'s work is squarely on his shoulders. On December 31, 2014, he was mailed a letter requesting that his story be submitted in...

[redacted] format.  On March 27, 2015, a letter was sent to him advising that the file he sent to us was not formatted properly for a novel. April 2015, we sent out a questionnaire about the the cover design and the editing process.  Mr. [redacted] apparently tried to convert another word processing program to [redacted] and this produced a formatting error. In July 2015, we sent another letter advising that we were putting together his biography with the information that he provided. Late July 2015, an additional letter went out explaining that the electronic file he sent on CD could not be corrected in a timely manner and that he would have to resubmit the manuscript in the proper format. To date, Mr. [redacted] has not produced the novel in [redacted] in novel format.As with all correspondence, authors are advised to write to us and include their document # for ease in responding.On the firsts page of the Contract.  Second Section #A - it states : The publishers shall publish the literary work in book form within 12 months after acceptance of the revised and accepted manuscript.While the manuscript was received, it was not a continues to not be in novel formatting in [redacted]. Since the corrected file has not been received, his project is not a priority.  We don't ask authors for money or make them buy services from.  Likewise, we will not pay $800 for a third party to format his manuscript properly. Naturally, this project was put on a shelf awaiting his properly formatted manuscript in [redacted]. According to his contract, Mr. [redacted] is free to cancel it without any regard to monies spent by this company. It is also stated that should he require return of his materials, it will be at his own expense.   Further, Paragraph 93 on Page 31 of the contract specifically states that the author may revoke the contract if there is a fault to the publisher, and the author has not received a response after 60 days.In this digital age, novels can be published overnight at a number of services.  Innovative Publishers Inc. is not such a service. Mr. [redacted] has filed this complaint in bad faith and has shown himself not be a serious professional. We understand that retyping or getting a manuscript in proper fashion is not an easy task, which is  why the decision was made to shelve the project versus cancelling it altogether. This is what I am prepared to do due to this complaint and Mr. [redacted] unwillingness to supply a properly formatted manuscript. The contract is cancelled as of May 31, 2016 for violating Part Six - Paragraph 78 of the contract. Failure of Author to Deliver Work in Final Form.Any and all copyright applications, Library of Congress applications will be cancelled and all rights to the work : [redacted] are released from Innovative Publishers Inc.A certified letter will be mailed to him advising that the contract is cancelled along with a copy of Page 21 of the contract that bears his initials showing that he understands Part Six - Paragraph 78 of the contract. For return of disks, photographs and correspondence Mr. [redacted] can send  a Self addressed envelope - stamped with proper postage to :Innovative Publishers Inc.[redacted]
