First, Innovative Exteriors built a good garage Unfortunately every step in the process to get to the finished product was terrible
This review is an update from the previous review I completed in December
I'm getting out of the Army this summer and am planning on staying in the Springs I bought a house this past October and wanted a garage built I was looking forward to stability and moving to the next phase I wanted to set up my new house as a place I'd want to live for the next several years
I regret using Innovative Exteriors One of the owners is dishonest to the point of being sociopathic He is the type of person that could lie on a lie detector because he doesn't seem to know the difference between right and wrong
I filed my first review the beginning of December Soon after, one of the owners responded to that review The owners response stated that a new crew was brought in and all my concerns were alleviated
The garage was first supposed to be completed by Thanksgiving Christmas was the next hard date given The garage did not finish until the middle of February - three months to build a garage
I'm sure the company will say weather or some other unforeseen act caused the delay but I saw them work over the three months There were very few days where anyone put in over hours and there were no weeks that approached hours of work The crew they used to dig the gas line trench took days Framing was a week process Supposedly after framing was complete, I'd be surprised how fast the project would go Framing completed the beginning of January The project went on for another month and a half
Originally we agreed that the garage would have a garage door opener One of the owners tried to charge extra for the garage door opener One of the owners did not think that an insulated garage included insulating the ceiling These matters were resolved I was just let down that we had to have these discussions considering the original agreement and the amount of time the project was over schedule
Other issues I did not appreciate: Contractors would knock on my door before and after I did not receive invoices for payment until the final payment Company representatives would randomly show up telling me it is time for the next payment I would have preferred to be mailed or delivered a written invoice and had my bank mail a check as opposed to writing a check on the spot The crew they used to insulate the garage broke the wires to the garage door opener Instead of saying they broke the wires, they decided to unhook all the wires to the garage door opener I reconnected them Nothing worked My electrician checked the wires and determined that they were broke during the insulation My electrician rewired the garage door opener I had a dumpster parked outside my house for two months
I'm not happy about doing business with Innovative Exteriors despite finally building a good product I would not do business with them again However if you choose to do business with them, I recommend getting a SOW that details the number of nails used and have a time frame on project completion with penalties for not delivering

Terrible experience. Paid for concrete wall, patio, edging, window replacement and stair rail replacement.
Lied to repeatedly. Significantly poor work quality.
We were so hopeful when we first met Jeff [redacted] (owner). What a disappointment.
Months later and we are still picking up the mess his group created and finishing the work we paid for and he didn't do.

We are having our basement done by Innovative RAC(IR&C) it started the first of June and is still not completed. Jeff [redacted] has never been on time (two to 3 hours late or no show ) and never know when anyone is coming and the job has taken two months too long to complete. We have have two sub-contractors threaten us with liens because they haven't been paid or the checks they received bounced. Some of the work his people have done is not good and he has been going to look at it to get it fixed for over a week. Been here 3 times never looked at it. His people tell us they can't hardly stand to go to customers due all of the dis-satisfaction. The painter has not been paid and he will not do any more work for him he also had a check bounce as well as the plumber, who eventually got paid but his check bounced twice. Something needs to be done with this business and the owner. I would like our basement completed and him to pay for what the contract stated and by reputable people.

This contractor was hired in early Aug, 2016 to reroof my rental house in Southern Colorado Springs. He was to start Sep 13th and be completed in 1-2 days. As of 19 OCT, the roofing material had yet to be delivered for the 5th time; therefore I fired him on the same day. This contractor has consistently lied about scheduling, no showed, and failed to refund my paid material deposits totaling $3,500. The contract states that he his Revdex.com certified, which is also a LIE!! This contractor creates elaborate lies on a daily basis and blames everyone but himself for not making good on his daily promises. In the 2 months Jeff was hired to roof my house, I received nothing but lies and excuses from him (contractor).

As Of 3 Nov 2016, I Am Still Seeking A Refund Of $3,500.

Had IRAC remodel my bar and I couldnt be happier with the outcome of the finished work. Their staff was pleasant and prompt. I would recommend them in the future.

I had them come by my house to give me a bid on fencing my property. After getting a few different bids from other contractors I opted to go with Innovative. The price was fair and I got a higher quality of fencing that still stayed in my budget. They did such a fantastic job I was surprised at how fast they were to get it done...4 Days!!! Their employees were polite and even worked around my dogs with no complaints. My fence looks great and yard is officially dog proof thanks to them.
