After a contracted OCT irrigation system installation with maintenance service, Tanz, Incfailed to winterize my system This resulted in a failed irrigation pump Tanz refused to replace the pump, which was under warranty and under service contract They terminated business in the Carolinas in MAR My sales representative failed to schedule the maintenance and has since left the company Tanz failed to charge my credit card for the annual service contract, or to notify me of this problem or their business departure from NC
I have repeatedly called, emailed and texted Tanz employees for resolution, beginning in NOV They refuse to honor the contract or give me any payment towards pump replacement I have a signed, dated contract and phone records
Avoid
Used them for spinkler installation previously
Called them for a sprinkler issue this time
I spoke with receptionist Diana, who could not give me an answer to my question and said that the techician Justin is not available either and that he would call me backI have not heard back for a day, so called back the following morningThis time according to Diana, justin just went into the bathroom and will call me right backAgain, didnt hear back from them
Its a lot easier to get another sprinkler company than to keep calling backSo if you are looking for a responsible sprinker company, look elsewhere, sounds like they are not interested in working and I can only imagine what its like to ask them to guarantee their work if they dont bother calling back potential customersHope this helps others avoid bad customer service
Please do not use Tanzer for sprinkler installation
They will try to short change you at every corner unless you pay close attention They tried to use inferior sprinkler heads when we had agreed to use Hunter I saw the inferior sprinkler heads at the time of install and stopped them and then got them to install Hunter They pleaded ignorance and finally did so These are supposed experts and my house happens to be on a slight incline These "experts" (not so much in my opinion) didnt bother placing check valves on the sprinkler heads that allowed water to drain and made a huge leak in all the heads that were furthest down the hill You would think that they would know that after these many years but I dont know the reasoning (as check valves are very inexpensive) what the rationale is for not putting it in Once this problem was brought to their attention, they wanted to charge me a service charge and cost of the check valves and labor to fix their error of installation Can you believe the audacity?!?!
Please look elsewherethere are many companies out their that will do a times better job
