We collect at the time of services for health care procedures based off our best estimation give to us by our patients insurance. There are times when patients over pay due to a change of benefits during the time the claims are processed. In this patients case he had inquired about a refund before...

the claim had been paid so we told him we would credit him after his insurance processed the payment. We did receive payment and it did appear he would need a refund. We process refunds once a month and when called back we told him he would receive the refund the following month (Feb). He should be receiving his overpayment check anytime. The delay is due to the time it takes an insurance to process they claims we do not send out the refunds until the claim is fully processed and we are certain the account is accurate.
