contacted by Inside & Out regarding complaint ID [redacted].  I am considering taking the next steps through Small claims court.  Other feedback I received said I was at fault for not being assured of a warranty at time of work.  What is your opinion in that regard?

Review: In 2011, Inside & Out, (owner Frank M[redacted]) replaced my roof and gutters. My contract shows no warranty or guarantee information, nor a Business License number for this company Water is pouring between the wall and the gutter causing erosion of earth and flooding at the back storm door. The gutters cannot accommodate the volume of water . There has been no response from Frank M[redacted] from phone calls and certified letter. Upon inspection from another certified company, [redacted], several problems were found on the size and installation of the gutters. At the same time the roof does not have 30-year shingles which is stated on the contract. In addition, the less than 3 yr old roof is showing a depression along the back area which should not exist if the "1/2 inch CDX plywood was used as underlayment" also stated in the contract. Also, there is no "drip edge" around entire roof,called for in the contract. I received an estimate of $1845 to replace the gutters with correct material and proper installation. A hole must be cut in the back roof to determine the cause of the roof sagging. I have yet to get an estimate of that cost but the original bill for the roof was $9050. plus $300 additional for "better quality gutters.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund to cover the cost of new installation of gutters plus an additional amount to correct the roof to meet the requirements in the contract. I do not trust Frank M[redacted] and his band of workers to do this work.This complaint covers : product issues,warranty issues, customer service issues and I have a reputable company that is willing to write a report on this lousy job.
