Review: In 2006 we moved into Sugar Mill Lakes subdivision in Palmetto FL. We built a beautiful home and all plumbing was done by [redacted] Plumbing Inc. We bought the home with thoughts of retiring and having things run smoothly throughout our retirement. Eight years later the only problem we have had in our home is Insinkerators Badger V garbage disposals! In October of 2010 we had to have the Badger V garbage disposal replaced and again in January of 2015. Replacing a garbage disposal every four years is unacceptable. There are only two people living in this house and the garbage disposal gets very little use. [redacted], owner and president of [redacted] Plumbing Inc, has commented to us that visual inspection of the second garbage disposal showed normal wear and tear. We have been in contact with [redacted], Customer Service, Insinkerator. After Insinkerators meager offer of a new disposal for future use (disposal #4), first monetary offer of $50.00 and second and final offer of $100.00 we have decided not to accept. We feel that is not adequate compensation our latest bill from [redacted] was $199.00 for garbage disposal #3.Their supervisor implied that when water was leaking under our sink, we should have called Insinkerator for a remedy to our problem. We feel that we did what any homeowner would do we call a reliable plumber. We have complete trust in [redacted] Plumbing.Because of the meager offer of reimbursement and the shoddy product, we feel obligated to make you aware of this problem.. Our remedy to this situation is COMPLETE REIMBURSEMENT of the second incident-$199.00, which would have never occurred only for the problems of your poorly made product. Needless to say, We will never use another Insinkerator product in our home and we will make sure that everyone in our neighborhood knows about our problem. The Badger V Insinkerator garbage disposal is a poor, unreliable product and needs to be taken off the market.Desired Settlement: Our remedy to this situation is COMPLETE REIMBURSEMENT of the second incident-$199.00, which would have never occurred only for the problems of your poorly made product.

Review: On Saturday morning Aug 9, 2014 my garbage disposal(Badger 900 serial#13111692256, purchased from Home Depot on Dec 30 2013 & installed by The Pipe Doctor on Dec 31,2013} leaked profusely and flooded my cabinet and kitchen floor. I promptly called Insinkerator and reported the problem as the original warranty was for 3 years and covered the part & labor. The Insinkerator operator instructed me to call Appliance Repair at 865 947-4100 for service which I did and got a recording that they were closed until Monday. This was a emergency as we could not use our kitchen sink without flooding the kitchen so we had no water. I then called Home Depot who advised to bring them the old unit and they would replace it with a new one. I explained the problem regarding labor cost and the warranty and he suggested since it was an emergency that I go ahead and get it installed and call Insikerator and explain the emergency nature of the situation. I next called The Pipe Doctor who came out promptly removed the old disposal so I could take it back to Home Depot which I did and they gave me the replcement that The Pipe Doctor Installed.( serial# 14051715700 ) I then called Insinkerator back explained the entire situation and was given Case #121013679 and told I would hear from a supervisor Monday as to any reimbursement for the labor. The emergency service from The Pipe Doctor was $173.81.Monday I received a call from Ken,customer service agent, who advised that there would be no reimbursement because I did not use there service agent. I explained I could not use there agent as he was not available and I could not shut my kitchen down for several days that this was an emergency. He ask me to hold on while he got direction from his supervisor [redacted]. His decision was to give me no consideration what so ever.Desired Settlement: There warranty covers part & labor and I tried to use there service agent who was not available for several days and this was an emergency. There warranty does not address an emergency situation so it is only reasonable that they give me some consideration as they would have had to pay there service agent something for comeing out and replacing and instlaaing the unit.

Review: I purchased a Hot Water dispenser in May of 2011 and had it installed in my new home In june of 2011 and I loved it then In 2012 I had no hot water and called the compay to have it repaired They ttold me to call a certain agent who came and replaced it .Then It happened again in 2013 and when I called the company they told me that If they sent me a replacement And I installed it myself it would be waranty for 3 years ,If they sent someone to replace it my old warranty would stand.

So I had them send me 1 and we installed it.

Now In july of 2014It happened again and they wont replace it and want to buy it back for price I paid in 2011But they told me that when they come and take it out I have to wait 3-4 weeks for a check and I dont think that is fair .and now they are telling me that it was not under warranty after all when 3 reps told me differntly and I told them that they record all their messages and they should go abck to all the peopel that told me it was under warranty.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to give me a check when they pick it up then it is theirs and case closed I should not have to wait 4 weeks to get my money back from a buy back.

Response:

We spoke with Ms. [redacted] regarding her Hot Water Dispenser Tank warranty concern. Ms. [redacted] expressed concern regarding the proposed buy-back of her Hot Water system. She loves the product and would like to retain it.

After further discussion, we agreed to replace her tank under warranty per the customer’s request. We have contacted our Factory Authorized Service Center to have the tank replaced today. I also provided Ms. [redacted] my direct contact information should she need to reach out to us in the future. Ms. [redacted] was satisfied with our actions. We consider the case closed.

Purchased a new Badger 100A garbage disposal from our local Home Depot in May 2013. Disposer went bad in July 2013. We have been trying to get a replacement through the warranty provided by the manufacturer, and all we are getting is the run-around.

The warranty number provided by the manufacturer is [redacted]
