The CU’s policy is to suspend automated access for those members in bankruptcyThis prohibition is intended as a protection against violating the automatic stay/protections afforded in bankruptcyThis member neither reaffirmed or cited his intent to retain and pay; as such, the personal obligation was discharged; however, the CU maintains a lien on propertyPayments made resulted in the CU from exercising its lien rights (we didn’t foreclose because payments continued)The CU is currently negotiating with the member to both satisfy the members request and maintain the integrity of the protections afforded in the bankruptcy while protecting the CU from claims of stay violation

Inspirus Credit Union staff assisted our member in completing the documents required by the State of Washington to complete the title transfer. The Credit Union then mailed the documents to the dealer who will be completing the title transferThe Credit Union charged no title transfer
fees for this loanTitle transfer fees were collected by the Dealer. Inspirus Credit Union staff contacted our member to help her better understand the title transfer process
