Insurance Center of New England, Inc. Reviews (3)

hi I came into the Gardner office asking for help to check the status of my new car registration the vehicle was bought from a new car dealer in Braintree ,mathe car was given as a gift and registered by the dealer all they wanted was my insurance company an my policy to process the registration.they did receive that information and I expected the registration to arrive in the mail I needed that to be able to get a inspection. It did not arrive after two weeks so I stopped in and asked them to inquire the girl at the front desk said they do not do registrations that was up to meso I asked if she would look up the dealership number.she told me that should of been given to me when I bought the carhence I went home looked up the number, called them they said they had the registrationI had to go miles to Braintree to pick it up or they could fax it to my insurance agent and I could pick it up..so I had them fax it to my agent and they did get it and give it to me.I just thought that's why I hired a agent to help me with small problems that go along with car ownership.I guess they don"t all feel that way down at ICNE PARKER STGARDNER,MA

I was told that 1 of my vehicles could not be insured because the registration had lapsed.Paid extra money & now ICNE is not refunding the money.I was told that 1 of my vehicles could not be insured because the registration had lapsed.Based on this information I re-titled the vehicle in [redacted] - I then received a fraudulent bill that I mistakenly paid. ICNE is my Insurance agent and refuses to take care of the issue. There direct statement to me was that the plates had lapsed and there was no way to insure the vehicle unless I re-registered the vehicle in [redacted] I did not re-register the vehicle in [redacted] & actually sold the vehicle. ICNE will not explain the false, misleading an inaccurate information - ICNE seems to be working an Insurance scam with [redacted]Desired SettlementAll I want is my money back -- They told me that there was no way to get insurance on the vehicle then had Commerce charge me anyway - Now they are refusing to fix there error. Business Response ICNE acknowledges that Mr. [redacted] had an expired plate that was still active within the [redacted] system. In order for the insurance to be legally taken off the vehicle; the registration plate MUST be cancelled online or plates physically returned to the [redacted] of [redacted] in [redacted] By law, an insurance company cannot cancel insurance while there is still an active plate even though the plate had expired. Mr. [redacted]'s plates were NOT cancelled until [redacted] 2014; which ICNE worked with Mr. [redacted] to make this happen. [redacted] deleted the vehicle from the policy effective [redacted] however, after Mr. [redacted] provided us with a copy of the [redacted] insurance policy, effective [redacted] 2014; [redacted] agreed to go back and cancel the policy effective [redacted] as they had proof of insurance on the vehicle with another company. It is the policyholder's responsibility to cancel a plate that is no longer needed. A returned premium is currently being processed. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)They have not addressed to complaint.I was told by [redacted], my rep at ICNE - That the [redacted] could not be insured because the registration had lapsed. - [redacted] stated to me that this was the decision of [redacted] stated that the [redacted] would not be insured unless I re-registered the vehicle and got New / Different plates from the [redacted] - I told her that would be to expensive and I was going to bring the truck to [redacted] stated that [redacted] would not insure the [redacted] Per he conversations with Commerce Insurance. [redacted] stated there was no need to return the Plates because the Plates were in-active and thus could not be used. My complaint is focused on fraudulent and miss-leading statements from ICNE & [redacted] As I stated this in insurance fraud. ICNE & [redacted] are working together to swindle the consumers
