Not a good experience doing business with Insurance Beacon. I do not recommend doing business with them. I started with auto insurance then later added a homeowner’s insurance policy. All was good until a year later when it was time to renew my auto insurance and I had not received any info about it. When I contacted Jeff regarding the issue he said no problem he will send the info but that he would like to increase my homeowner’s coverage. I suggested a middle number but that didn’t go over so well. I was told the insurance company had sent a notice to me in September to increase the coverage to that amount or my policy will be canceled. I had not received the notice and his excuse was that there was no unit number listed. Not true, everything I received from the insurance company had my unit number on it and they are not going to blindly insure a place without knowing which unit it is. So, I had Jeff email the cancellation notice and saw it had been faxed to him by the insurance company that day so I called the insurance company and found out that they had never sent out a cancellation notice. Without telling him what I knew, I clarified with him that I was not renewing and will let the cancellation happen. At that time I started receiving some very accusatory and unprofessional emails from Jeff. I sent an official notice to Insurance Beacon that I was canceling the auto insurance but he never canceled either policy. In January I started receiving late billing notices for both the home and auto policies. It was on a Friday when I received them so had to leave a voice message with Beacon regarding the issue. The bills were strange with late fees and other changes for both present and past payments due. I decided to call the insurance company myself and explained Jeff’s inappropriate behavior, the strange bills and his inability to do his job for me and I was able to cancel the policies. But, I had to forward the homeowners cancellation notice Jeff sent me, the auto insurance cancellation notice I sent to him and his inappropriate emails and the policies were cancelled. The next week on Monday I got a weird email from Jeff which made no sense to me about one policy was canceled and the other one wasn’t so I email back stating I did not understand his email especially when I received bills by him for both policies that should have already been canceled. Then I started receiving some very accusatory and unprofessional emails from Jeff again. I emailed him back and told him he is being unprofessional, that it has long been over and I know you're upset about being dumped but get over it. So. I do not recommend doing business with Insurance Beacon it can turn ugly.
