This business owner is in breach of the contractAs we mentioned in our complaint, the
contract (which was signed by the business owner) guarantees a full warranty on the full video and audio home and security system for yearsWe made several attempts to contact the owner to fix the programming issues so we could use the system and he hasn’t responded since April, nor has he fixed our issuesThe owner left us with out of functioning TV’s, with limited controls, and no working speakers in the homeEven the nest thermostats that he installed were not setup properlyWe requested that he pick up the equipment and refund us our moneyWe are attaching a copy of our service log
After it became apparent that this company was not going to honor the contract, we contacted the credit card providers to request a refundThere were two separate credit card transactions, one in October for 65% of the work and one in January for 35% of the balanceIn July, one of the credit card providers contacted us requesting we provide another qualified merchant’s written opinion that the work performed by IHT was incomplete or inferior qualityWe reached out to RTI (audio distribution hardware provider) to get references for other qualified merchantsSince that time we met with two other merchants that agreed the work was incomplete and inferiorWe submitted the documentation to the credit card provider and received a refund for 35% of the total system priceThe other credit card company (65%) is not able to refund our money since the transaction was posted in October
In order to be able to utilize the existing equipment and wiring, it will require additional programming, reconfiguration of existing wiring, labor, and other hardware components/partsAt this time we do not know how much more it will cost to fix the issues and problems that IHT left behindNot to mention the huge inconvenience and the amount of time, frustration, loss of wages (due to having to allot time for other companies to investigate), anxiety, etcthat this company caused usWe feel completely taken advantage ofWe trusted them with a huge investment
The purpose of this complaint is to make other consumers aware and to warn them of the poor business practices and ethics of this companyWe would not want other consumers to experience this

Customer has received refund amount of $7,672.76, customer is using equipment and has hired a different company to resolve any problems, we consider this problem resolved. Will upload documentation
