I pulled ** *** records and his invoice shows we worked on the boat on June 14, The only update since that time was an address change in our system in January of so we have not seen it in over two years, nor had any complaints from *** *** during that time The work we performed was a carburetor rebuild and we replaced his fuel tank There is no note of any new parts being installed in the carburetor, just taking it apart, cleaning, and putting it back togetherWe also have no record of repairing a leak As a service shop we will call *** *** and see if we can work this out as we never want anyone to be unhappy with our work and stand behind itHad he called us after the repair we would gladly have brought it in as we stand by our work 100% My only concern is that if the boat sat for two years the fuel would degrade and cause the same issues he is complaining about and the water pump could also fail over that time (water pumps are recommended to be replaced yearly), especially with ethanol in the fuel (feel free to look up ethanol and marine motors and you will see it is a big issue in the marine industry In terms of the bill $was billed for parts (new fuel tank, new fuel line, and supplies), $was tax, $for shop supplies, and $was for the carb rebuild If you need any more information please let me knowWe want all customers to be happy, but in this case need to contact ** *** for more information and to ask why we were not notified prior to his complaint to you Thank you,Roy
