I bought an '02 Chevy several months ago from Rusty. It had a lot of miles and several minor issues but nothing major. The body was solid and Rusty said he'd driven it a lot and knew of nothing seriously wrong so I bought it 'as is'.
After a couple of months, I noticed something hanging down under the door and found that the body was rusted out on both sides but the rust had been covered with duck tape and sprayed with undercoat. I showed it to the guy I've used in the past for body work and found out that it was a $2000 repair. He also said that it had been done long before Rusty got it as a trade-in.
I went back to Rusty and asked if he could help me. He was understanding and apologetic. He said he would check around and call me back. He actually did and got it repaired for a fraction of the cost. I am a happy customer and will not hesitate to do business with him again.
