I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Regards,
*** *** ***
I am responding to the comments
from Mr*** ***, Integrity Automotive Services (IAS), Greenway Cross,
Madison, WI regarding the damage caused to my car on 06/30/during
the wheel alignment
I certainly believe and insist that IAS damaged my car during the
repair work and DO NOT appreciate the insincere explanation and threatening
response from IAS
I had new steering rack and pinion installed last year by another mechanic
and all parts were in great shape until IAS did alignment jobIn support of
this claim, I mention that days before I brought my car for alignment, I had
two new front tires installed (see the attached file) by my mechanic who
recommended me to use IAS for alignment as they did not have the alignment
deviceDuring installation of new front tires my mechanic inspected underneath
the car and did not touch any parts of the steering deviceHe sprayed a
cleaning liquid to clean the dust and visualized all parts for signs of damage
There was no damage, no tear and no malfunctioning partThe oil leak that IAS
is referring to was in fact the oil drops from the cleaning compound and should
not distract any person from the damage caused later in IAS
I do not remember that in the alignment job the IAS repairman
might have mentioned either verbally or in written that any parts of the rack
and pinion needed repairIn the invoice date 06/30/2014, IAS clearly states
that all parts were inspected and no damage has been observedVery
interestingly and contradicting to IAS claim the IAS mechanic sent me the rack
boot replacement boot estimate fee right after I showed that IAS had damaged my
car and the date is 08/20/
Regarding why I contacted IAS late is because I am not a mechanic to
diagnose what that twisted boot was for and I TRUSTED the IASI DID NOT DOUBT
such damage might have happened by an experienced repairmanI rather thought
it was the axle bootI bought new axles thenI still have the new axle with
the date purchased and the receiptI made an appointment with my mechanic and
went to replace the axlesHe noticed that the axles were fineI showed the
twisted boot and he advised it was the rack bootWe found that the clamp
around the driver side boot was not also placed properlyHe told me that
during alignment they might have removed the clamp of driver side and forgotten
to put it backHe thought the same might have happened to the passenger side
and the alignment person could simply have forgotten to loosen the clamp for
the alignment
I wonder if the IAS claims they did not damage my car why they
agree to take a look at the car and pull out the boot in the second meeting
The car has no leak and IAS might use the leak to distract the reader from the
fact that their negligence caused this damageI did not ask IAS to repair
anything at any charge during our second meetingI just told the problem with
twisted boot, they jacked up the car, pulled the damaged boot out, tore it and
told me it was ready to go
The IAS told me they had fixed the boot and that I could drive
offWhen I returned back home, I looked under the car and found that it was
the same boot, torn and defectiveThe IAS just covered for their fault by
superficially taking the boot out and tearing itIt is interesting that the
IAS claims the alignment needs NO displacing or replacing the boot clampsI
think it would be good to ask a second mechanic if one needs to move the clamps
around the boots for the alignment jobI am not afraid of IAS choosing lawyer because
the truth will win
Thank you

none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px; background-">I am in receipt of your letter dated 8/22/regarding Mr***'s concern
I have talked to Mr *** extensively about his car and the problems with it.
He brought his car in after he had someone else tie rod ends on his car. At that time we noted that his car needed a transmission fluid flush, Radiator replaced, cooling system flushed, and a steering rack boot replaced. We have all of these recommendations documented in our database. He declined all of the recommendations as he was going to have his mechanic work on it. I assume the same person who put the tie rod ends on the car
Over a month and a half later, he contacts us saying that two days after the alignment he noticed a fluid leak so he took it to his mechanic and they thought that the rack was leaking through the torn boot. He also accused us of tearing his bootHe says this happened two days after the alignment but he doesn't contact me till Aug 19th, a month and a half later. I told him to bring the car in and we would take a look at it.
When the car was brought in on Weds, Aug 20th, 2014, I personally looked at the car myself. The car has several engine oil leaks, there was no fluid leaking out of the steering rack and Mr*** again refused to authorize us to repair the boot. He wanted us to repair it at no charge.
We didn't damage the boot, we didn't put the steering components on An alignment requires no adjustment of any clips on the boot, that would be the responsibility of the individual who put the parts on the car which was not this company
I've explained this in detail to Mr***. At this point his behavior is approaching harassment and becoming libelous. The boot was already damaged when it came in, we told him that, he declined repairs and now he wants us to pay him $dollars for a $alignment. Especially when I personally checked his Steering Rack and Power Steering Fluid level and the rack was not leaking, power steering fluid level was at the full mark and he confirmed to me that he had not added any fluid
My next step will be to contact my lawyer to commence legal action against Mr***. Posting of allegations is libel.

The Estimate was a worst case scenario. We have been burned (no pun intended) by these systems in the past We start with a bulb but that may not fix it and it can get expensive fast We would rather that the customer be pleasantly surprised at a low cost of repair instead of being
unprepared, surprised and upset if the bulb doesn't take care of the problem I'm actually ok with this complaint We didn't do anything to his vehicle without informing him of all of the possible outcomes If he is so upset with that that he has to file a complaint with the Revdex.com instead of picking up the phone and contacting us, I can't help that. We're going to continue to tell our guests the truth and all of the possible ramifications of any repair that we perform on their car, BEFORE we perform the repair.MattIntegrity Automotive Service

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I definitely insist that IAS has caused the damage to my car and must accept the responsibility to compensate for the damage. I have provided all the documents and files to support my claim.
I would like to have a quick resolution.
Thank you,
