To whom it may concern,As far along in this process as we are and as many times as The ***’s and myself have gone back and forth with each other trying to resolve this, it appears that my offer to finish the items agreed upon and fix additional items is being rejectedEven after the last payment was made and we agreed upon items to be finished upon Mr***’s return, a delayed response on the start date of the final items triggered him to being unhappy with our previous agreement and from then on it’s been an “all or nothing” scenarioI have remained cooperative and willing to finish the job, but at this point based upon other emails and text messages and the insults I have received, I do not know whether I could satisfy them or not despite my effortsIf I’m not granted permission to complete the job, I am willing to take away the remaining balance of $2,065.00. Thank you for your time,Brett H***

We do not accept Integrity Home Transformations response to our complaint with his business.  We hired Integrity Home Transformations to give us a new and renovated bathroom.  He has not provided the services as he promised.  The quality of his work after his completion date was less than satisfactory, which the pictures clearly depict.  We have went above and beyond trying to work with Brett by offering to help pay for some materials to fix his mistakes. We still request that he refunds us $2,000.00 so that we can hire someone else to get our bathroom to the condition it should have been.  To address Brett’s claim that our job has become an “all or nothing” scenario, that is true.  Due to Brett’s inability to do the job right the first time, we were forced to comprise a list of items to be fixed, and he refuses to fix all of his mistakes.  Therefore we do not want him back in our home.  In response to Brett’s claim that I have insulted him.  I have not insulted him, not even once.  I have on multiple occasions questioned him about his quality of work, integrity, timeliness and his inability to follow-through with the job that he agreed to do.   All of my statements, pictures and responses to the Revdex.com and Integrity Home Transformations have been accurate and true.  My wife and I spent a great deal of time responding to Brett’s false claims in his previous Revdex.com response, to which he did not take the time to address. Regards,

Monday, January 8, 2018To Whom It May Concern,This communication is in response to the complaint filed by customer, [redacted] regarding issues with his home bathroom remodel. I feel it is not only necessary to respond to each individual complaint but also address additional important details...

that Mr. [redacted] failed to disclose. • Mr. [redacted] and myself had held numerous conversations about the timing of the start date on this project. The nature of this business only allows me to give my customers estimated start dates as I cannot begin new projects prior to finishing others. With that being said, the time frame was nowhere near 3 weeks later than the projected. It was approximately 10 days. Mr. [redacted] clarifies this exact time frame in an email to me. • Mr. [redacted] states the job took over the projected 1 week to 10 day timeframe originally allotted. My start date was August 14 and it took approximately 13 days with me working an average of 8-9 hours per day for those 13 consecutive days. Several days even entailed me working well into the evening hours though it is never ideal. I prefer not to impede on a customer’s private home life, but I wanted to do what was necessary to meet the time frame request of Mr. [redacted]. The delays in the projected finish date were due to the following unforeseen issues: bathtub had visible blemishes that could not have been detected until opening the packaging; two side walls had to be built that were destroyed during demolition by Mr. [redacted]; sewer lines had to be re-routed to accommodate ship-lap walls.• Many details were completed that last day working at least 10-12 hours. One of the final items to be placed was the floor vent. Up until this point, I had no idea that the existing vent was thrown away during demolition by Mr. [redacted] and that the expectation was for me to provide new. This was a very easy fix that I planned on providing, but at 9pm that night it was not something I had on site or availability to get. My conversation with Mr. [redacted] and his wife that evening when I left was that there would be some cosmetic touchup and additional punch out items to still complete. The largest of these items being the vanity mirror to be installed, which was backordered 6 weeks, unbeknownst to me at the time of purchase. This was completely out of my control. Water lines being hooked up backwards was an easy fix that I offered to fix at our last face to face meeting. He denied my offer to do this. Factory settings were put on the water valve in the shower to prevent scalding temperatures. If this was not hot enough for Mr. [redacted]’s liking, that is an easy fix. The shower head was secured by 3 mounting screws. It has a long shower head stem to allow for more flexibility in the head. Cracking of grout lines did not occur until October. The wall this occurred to in the shower was on the exterior side of the house. I explained to the customer that this sometimes occurs with expansion and contraction of the corners. On the left side of the shower wall, waviness did occur in some of the tile. I offered to demo and re-do this entire portion. Additional complaints stated here by Mr. [redacted] were all items that were to be completed in my punch out list. The condition of the bathroom was in no way left in the disorder that the customer implies. • Within minutes of me leaving the [redacted]’s home I received an irate text message stating how dissatisfied he was with the job and that in that moment he could not control his temper, he would let me know “if and when” I would be allowed back into their home to complete the punch out list. September 13th I met with Mrs. [redacted] to go over items that needed to be completed. The items that were agreed upon at that time were in no way as extreme as what he is demanding now. A payment was made but still left a remaining balance and there was an agreement of good faith made by both of finalizing the project upon Mr. [redacted]’s return. When he returned, Mrs. [redacted] communicated via text November 27th asking me for a time frame on a start date for finalizing. At that time, I had a several projects ahead of them and could not give her a definite or estimated date as I assured her I would the following day. My lack of communication infuriated Mr. [redacted] which prompted him to file a complaint with the Revdex.com regardless of never trying to reach out to me in the meantime by any other fashion. From this moment on, his demands, have only been increasing with each communication and he continues to insult my work ethic despite my willingness to finish the items punch out items. At this time the [redacted]’s have an outstanding balance of $2,065.00 which is only expected to be paid in full when I am allowed to return back into their home. If I am not allowed back into their home further action will need to taken to recover the balance. Please note that I am more than willing to send all communication between myself and the customer via email to show how willing I have remained throughout this entire process. As with any customer that Integrity Home Transformations, LLC serves, it is never our intention to leave a customer dissatisfied. We pride ourselves in quality work and always hope for repeat customers.Thank you for your time.Brett H[redacted]

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID .12548084, , and find that Mediation is necessary. I hope that mediation will help because we want to get this bathroom issue behind us.  we are available early mornings  during the weeks of Feb 26 and March 5th. Regards,[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: Brett H[redacted] of Integrity Home Transformations is not depicting accurate statements and is failing to address the important issues with our bathroom. Unfortunately, I spoke with [redacted] and due to my wife and I both having apple phones, we are unable to obtain our own text messages once they are deleted without a subpoena. Therefore, a lot will be "here say" as most of our conversations before and during the remodel were via text message. I will begin by responding to his statements and adding what he failed to mention. Yes, we had numerous conversations about the start date of our remodel. He came to our home sometime in late May/early June to assess our bathroom, at which point he informed us that he would be 4-6 weeks out and would get us a "detailed estimate". We expressed that our third baby was due the end of June, I would have 6 weeks paternity leave and would be able to do the demo. I also expressed that I had military obligations that required me to be out of state, therefore the bathroom had to be finished by August 25th. We stressed that point very heavily with Brett.  Brett made the comment that he would make that happen.  At a later date he left our "less than detailed" estimate in our mailbox. I then requested that he meet with us once again and go over the estimate. He returned to our home on July 10th to review said estimate, he again told us he was still 4-6 weeks out. He was then paid the initial down payment, plus some, of $2,000 of the agreed contract. A few weeks later, Brett gave us a new estimated arrival date of August 14th, which was now outside of my paternity leave. I then switched my days around at work and with my military drill so that I could be off on the 13th in order to demo the bathroom that was agreed upon. The evening of August the 12th Brett texted me and stated that he wasn't going to be able to start our bathroom until at least Wednesday, August 16th. I simply replied "I hope your joking" with which he replied "go ahead and demo, I will make it work". As far as his comment of "I cannot begin new projects prior to finishing others" - one of his own workers (Calkins) made the comment to me "Brett has like 3 or 4 other jobs going right now, so we are all over the place". Yes, his start date was August 14th with his mandatory end date on August 25th, making that 12 days to complete the job, not 13. He states that he worked "on average of 8-9 hours a day consecutively". That alone is in accurate. One day in particular he never showed up at all, he sent his mother over to seal the tile floor. That took her roughly 1 hour, which she told my wife could be walked on in another hour. Another day he and his father showed up late afternoon for maybe 90 minutes, put some subway tiles on the shower wall, and then left. Brett also stated that he worked late hours, which is true, he had asked us if we minded if he worked a few hours into the evening to get the job done on time. We took that to mean he would be working 9+ hour days. However, very seldom did he, or any of his workers, arrive before the lunch hour. Yes, we had a time frame that this bathroom needed to be finished by, which Brett was well aware of when he agreed to do this job. As far as the "unforeseen issues" that led to his delay in finishing on time; He brought the new bathtub to my home, stated he bought it because it was discounted and thought we could save a couple bucks. Then he proceeded to ask me if I and/or my wife would be ok with a scratched tub. I replied with "my wife would not be happy with a scratched tub in our brand new bathroom, I don't know why you're asking me questions you already know the answer to". Brett laughed it off. Never once did Brett bring to my attention that 2 out of the 3 walls would have to be rebuilt as a result of me “destroying” them when I did the demo. As a matter of fact, when Brett and one of his workers (Doup) arrived at our home on August 14th, they both stated "you demo better than most guys, you looking for a side job?". As far as the sewer lines needing to be rerouted to accommodate the shiplap walls; that should not have been a surprise. All of our plumbing is exposed in the basement for him to see, he also knew when he gave us our estimate that shiplap would be on the walls.  Yes, roughly 80% of the finished look was completed on that last day of August 25th. Yes, he and 2 of his other workers, one being his mother, were here 10-12 hours on that last day. Just before the crew headed out for lunch on that final day, his mother made the comment to my wife "I'm hoping we can get this done today". With which my wife replied, "Oh, well it has to be done today, Brett knows that. We are having a family gathering here tomorrow". Brett says that he had no idea that the existing vent was thrown away during demo and that he was expected to provide a new one. Yet, he nailed trim to the wall above the vent hole without having a visual or dimensions of the vent that "he had no idea that was thrown out". Upon Brett leaving our home at 9P on August 25th, he spoke to my wife and asked "would it be acceptable for me to come back on Tuesday to do some touch up paint and a few other things? Also, I just found out that the mirror is on back order and I should have that in a couple days". That was the first time we were hearing about the mirror being on back order. Yes, I declined he fix any "easy fixes" while he was last in our home, as we wanted to establish an agreement on everything that is going to be fixed first. The factory settings on the shower were hardly set to LUKE warm, he didn't even bother to confirm the warmth of the shower. The neck of the shower head moves significantly from the wall mount. He did not secure the water lines up the wall prior to installing the backer board for the tile.  My wife sent Brett a picture message of the shower corners cracking, expressing her concern of water getting behind the tile. Brett assured her that water wouldn't get back there and that was normal. Our shower was tiled before our remodel, and we never had a single crack in the corners. The left side of the wall has extreme waviness in the tiles, a tile has already cracked in half, the nook he inserted is less than desirable with the placement/lack thereof of the tiles. The entire back wall itself is not level, from left to right and top to bottom. Some of the tiles butt out farther than the others, the grout work is sloppy. The right side of the shower a tile has already fallen off. Brett told us the grout cracking and slight bow on the back wall of the shower was because it was an exterior wall. We had 3 different contractors out to look at our bathroom since then. My wife specifically asked them if the back wall were to to be completely redone if it would bow again like it is because it is an exterior wall. All 3 assured us that the bowing could be avoided by adding scab wood to the existing studs. Not a single wall is level. He knew the walls weren't going to be level because I specifically texted him and asked if he wanted all the old wall stud scabs taken out and he responded with "take it down to the studs". He argued that if we weren't happy with something that he was doing we should have spoken up while he was doing them. We did. I addressed that he had the floor tiles laid incorrectly as it was a patterned tile. My wife addressed her concern of painting the shiplap when he bought 3 different types of shiplap, all different grains and textures. He told us that he lost a load of ship lap out of the back of his truck and was having a hard time finding enough material. I addressed the subway tile on the left wall of the shower, how it looked wavy. Brett's exact words were "yeah, there's a little "smile" right here that I'm struggling with".  He then stopped tiling that wall for days. The rest of the work was done on the very last day, when there were 3 workers in our very tiny single bathroom. There was no way we could oversee what they were doing while tending to our 3 small children.   Yes, I sent him a text shortly after he left our home on August 25th after I looked at the bathroom. I did tell him I would let him know "when or if" he could come back. After seeing all the major things that were wrong with our new bathroom, we started to see the minor things which in turn made us even more upset because had he not rushed himself on the last day a lot of those things could have been avoided. I left for military training a few days later and was gone for 10 weeks, I didn't have as much time as I would have liked to evaluate Brett's work. My wife and I discussed, via text and phone calls, most of our issues with the bathroom in the hopes of getting them fixed. Again, it was difficult for me to assess them myself as I was out of state. We agreed that my wife would meet with Brett and go over the list of things we were not happy with. Most of which he was willing to fix and stated that a lot of it was "punch out work. We have attached the initial list that we provided Brett with, since then a combination of more issues arising and us unable to make a thorough checklist while I was away, more has been added to the list, which we have also attached. At that time a partial payment was made to Brett in good faith that he would return and correct the things on our list upon my return from military. Brett said that he would make our bathroom a priority when I returned.  My wife contacted Brett on November 27th inquiring about a potential start date and time frame to fix/finish the bathroom. He stated he did have 2 jobs previously lined up and we would be next, that he would check his calendar and get back to her the following day. 13 days later with no response and we were done waiting. That is when I filed my complaint with the Revdex.com.  I don't feel that it is my obligation to keep hounding him to finish/fix this job, with this bathroom being such a sensitive subject and him knowing that we were very disastisfied, I would have thought he would have been more on top of things the second time around.  This is our initial list we gave to Brett back in October:no threshold from carpet to tile, loose carpet.  no floor vent installed, hole left in floor, knowing we have small children.no vanity mirror installed.  we were never told it was on back order until the 25th of August, which was the final day.sink top not square with wall, out of plum to naked eye.water lines on sink hooked up backwards.water lines and sink drain below the vanity loose and not secured to floor support.visible wooden shims under toilet base, loose toilet, no caps on metal hardware to secure toilet, wooden shims are visible, toilet base not sealed or caulked.shower tile crooked, “smiling” as you called it. walls wavy and bowed.water line and shower head not secured, loose and wobbly.exhaust fan does not work at all, blows in cold air. I told you prior to the job that I wanted a very powerful exhaust fan as we only have one bathroom.  I even said I would pay for an upgraded fan.  I told you I wanted it to pull that hat off my head, I think I made it clear what I wanted. You did not test this prior to leaving. drywall around exhaust fan is sloppy and messy. exposed nail holes in all trim work, exposed drywall screw in shower ceiling. (I would consider this “touch-up work”)paint splatter from ship lap walls on new tile floor and on toilet bowl lid.2 handprint in paint on ship lap walls, messy caulk in corners, unpainted and uneven gaps in ship lap. 2 outlets are not flush with wall or level. clearly visible. no siding on the exterior of the house where window was removed.shower water would not get passed warm, valves needed adjustment.  seal under sink bowl is messy Since then, we have found more issues. loose trim around door casing.tile in shower is cracked and all corners have separated and cracked.light fixture over the sink is loose and not secured, tried to replace a bulb and the fixture rotates freely. Up, down and spins.  there is also paint from the ship lap on the fixturewalls are not plum, which caused multiple other issues above, to include the outlets and vanity to have an uneven gap against the wall.shower tile is not plum and is wavy, wall studs were not plumed prior to installing backer board.wall trim on shower to ship lap is curved and uneven. bottom tile piece has come loose from wallBrett came out to our house after we filed our initial claim with the Revdex.com.  We both agreed that it would be better if we could go over the issues that we sent to him since my return from the military.  A great deal of the list we sent to Brett was dealing with things not being level or straight.  When Brett and his father arrived at my home they did not bring a level with them.  When I asked them if they brought a level he stated that he did not.  I had to go out to my garage to get a level so that I could show Brett the issues.  We found it very unprofessional that he came out to our house to go over our list without the neccessary equipment needed.  While he was at our home that day he offered no responses or accountability when asked why things were done a specific way.  When I asked him if he checked the exhaust fan before leaving he stated, “Ive never had a problem with these fans”.  When I asked him why the water lines were backwards he said, “I was downstairs, they told me it was good”.  When I asked him why he didn’t secure the vanity light to the wall when he installed it, he said “It just needs tightened”.  I said why didn’t you tighten it when you installed it and he didn’t respond. In an email I even offered to pay for one half of the materials to redo the shower walls and Brett still wouldn’t make this right.  He said he would only do it if I was to do the demo again, this request was before he wrote in his last response that I “damaged” walls on the first demo.  Brett has not taken this bathroom job seriously and rushed through the job in our opinion.  We have no confidence that Brett has the skills or knowledge to compete this job they way it should have been done when he was here the first time.  I have emailed photographs of the bathroom in its current state.  All of which is how Brett left it, beside the cracking in the corners of the shower. The image of the invoice, is an invoice that Brett left us on Aug 25th after we sent him the list of issues.  Please note that the balance is half of what his last response to this claim says we owe him.  Also, when he was at our home the last time and we could not agree on what would be fixed to complete this job, Brett said, “so, do you just want to call it a wash”.  Brett is now saying that we owe him a much larger amount than his last invoice and what he offered in person the last time I saw him.  We feel the Brett is only doing this because when he was here I told him that if he wasn’t willing to fix his mistakes for the remainder of the original bill that I had no other option than to find someone else to do it and take him to small claims court for the difference.  I even asked Brett if he thought I could find a contractor to fix all of his mistakes for $2,000., and he shook his head left and right.   On a side note, Brett used several of my tools and supplies to work on our bathroom remodel. Here are the following items of mine that he used/borrowed: - wire connector nuts, on more than one occasion  - two 5-gallon buckets, which he mistakenly took  - hammer, which he also mistakenly took - sawzall - chop saw, which he also mistakenly took  - paper towels and rags  - PVC epoxy Brett returned all the items he mistakenly took after we realized they were missing and asked him to check his trailer. Brett asked us to use/borrow these items, which we only allowed because we wanted our bathroom done on time and thought it would eliminate wasted time spent driving back and forth to town.  We never thought that Brett would leave our bathroom in a less than satisfactory condition after how accommodating we were to him and his workers/family.   We do not feel that we owe him anymore money, but in fact, are requesting a refund so that we can have someone else come in and fix our bathroom in a correct and timely manner. Respectfully Submitted, [redacted] and [redacted]
