Thanks for your patience as we spent time reviewing everythingWhen we review everything in regards to the contract the customer signed with us and the clear fact that the customer decided not to do his roof (which he originally asked to provide a bid for) and chose only to address his gutters, fascia and soffit issues - we believe we honored our contract with this customer But equally, as we review everything, we agree we could have done a better job alerting him to problems he will have with his gutters because he chose not to replace his roofTherefore we would like to offer the customer a 25% refund

Thanks for your patience as I researched what was said by gutter installersOur gutter company owner spent time interviewing his very trusted installer on what was asked and what was said, They agreed the customer did ask them about being able to install drip edge but did they do not agree that he
ever specifically asked them if his specific roof would not leak after they installed themFurther more when he asked them they had barely gotten out of their truck, knew nothing about his roof and had not even seen itThey answered his question from a generic can you install drip edge on a existing roof. I want to be clear we took our customers concerns and questions seriousSince we know we are human and even the best can make mistakes we did NOT assume our customers concerns were unwarrantedSo we sent the owner of our gutter crew out to meet with the customer to look at and evaluate his concernsIt so happened that it had rain helping us see what was causing the problemsThe owner did his best to explain to the homeowner and show that this was not a gutter installation problem but clearly and simply a roof problemIn short the concerns he had would not be addressed till he fixed his roofIt is important to remember it was the customer who called us and ask us for a roof bid, gutter bid and soffit/fascia repair bidHe also decided not to do the roof at this timeWe did NOT solicit him nor suggest he had should replace his guttersEvery thing we did was driven by his direction not oursI want to be clear if we at anytime thought or knew that his problems were gutter installation related, we would have fixed those problems no matter the cost to us, that is how we do businessBut his problems are clearly roof relatedWe would be more then willing to put together a roof repair bid to address the roof problems that would fix these issueWe would do it at a discounted price and at no profit for us Lastly a year workmanship warranty means - if the gutters fail due to poor or faulty craftsmanship (the installation labor), the cost to fix it would coveredI trust the above statements how that we went out to verify that this is not a gutter craftsmanship installation issue, instead it is simply an old roof that leaks and shows up at the gutters problem
