Review: I purchased a 2006 used car from [redacted]. I was told by both the salesman and the owner that the vehicle was in perfect operating condition. the owner stated that he allowed his wife to use it and that he would not allow his family to use a vehicle that wasn't it top running condition. From the time I started the loan process [redacted] put an additional 2,000 miles on the auto. When I left the lot after the purchase I didn't make it 7 miles until a sensor warning came on informing me to tale it to the workshop. I stopped to look at the issue and decided to put a CD in the changer. When I opened the changer the CD magazine was missing and wire were hanging out of the unit. I immediately called the owner and informed him of these issues. He stated that the car was a used car and that you cannot ensure that all parts will be there. He also sated that since I negotiated $700 of the asking price he could not fix the sensor issue. I told him that he stated that the car was in top operating condition when I ask him if there were any problems and he told me that was just sales talk. I told him I wanted to bring the car back and void the sale and he said absolutely not. The owner stated that any used car purchase was just a roll of the dice. He lied to me and it will cost me thousands of dollar to correct.Desired Settlement: I would like the dealer to take the car back, or refund me for the parts and labor to bring the vehicle into operating condition.

Review: The vehicle I purchase had the mileaged rolled back on according to the carfax. since I purchased the vehicle I have had 13000 of work done on it.Desired Settlement: 50000 dollars purchased price. and also included is repairs and warranty .

This message is in response to a complaint submitted to the Revdex.com about our business on 9/9/2013 by [redacted]. This complaint was assigned ID [redacted].

Kingstowne Motorcars purchased this vehicle from [redacted] Auto Auction with a clean history and NO odometer rollback. If a vehicle does have odometer rollback, the auction would disclose that information to the buyer. In addition, the title does not show odometer rollback, in which if it did they would refer to it as true mileage unknown (TMU). There are two different sources and reports that consumers usually use as a guide before purchasing a vehicle known as Carfax and Auto Check.

Carfax report indicates that the vehicle has potential odometer rollback. We have noticed that the information Carfax provides to consumers and to us dealers are NOT always accurate. On the other hand, another source that is nationally accepted, known as AutoCheck, does not show any history of odometer rollback. From the information we have been given from [redacted] Auto Auction, the title of the vehicle, and AutoCheck, this vehicle is clean of any history of odometer rollback.
