Due to the nature of public records, however, Intelius cannot warrant the information provided is always complete, accurate or that all types of civil court cases are available
Per the Terms of Service Mr*** agreed to upon the completion of his purchase, Intelius has a no refund policyHowever, as a matter of customer courtesy, I have reversed the $credit granted to Mr*** and instead provided a full refund in the amount of $to his credit card on January 27, Mr*** should note this refund on his account within the next to days depending on his financial institution’s billing cycle and internal refund policy

To do this, we request that proof of identity be submitted along with the removal request. Proof of identity can be a state issued ID card or driver's license. When uploading, faxing, or mailing a copy of a driver's license, we require that the photo and the driver's license number be crossed out. However, we do need to see the name, address, and date of birth to ensure that all information is removed from our database. If an individual does not feel comfortable faxing us their driver’s license or other state issued identification, they can send a notarized statement of their identity.Additionally, it is important to remember that the procedure to opt out is temporary. I am rejecting this response because I have never been attached to the email address: ***@yahoo.com. Perhaps this was part of the Yahoo hack or something -- but I never opened up this email address or have ever been associated with this email address. As such, any acknowledgement that I accepted terms of use would be invalid and therefore, I would request that Intellius refund the entire amount. Someone else using a fraudulent email address to use their service is not acceptable and I should not have to pay for that. Furthermore, I find it disheartening that despite all of my attempts to get customer service reps to solve this problem, they wouldn't figure this out until I got the Revdex.com involved. I had provided the Intellius team even a transaction ID, which I told they could not locate, which is also difficult to understand.However, the fact remains that ***@yahoo.com has never been my email account

While selecting a report on Intelius.com, customers will be presented with a disclaimer when a report will not include records for specific states. Intelius will report any available criminal records for the state of Wisconsin, however, marriage and divorce records are not available in this
state and are not a part of the Statewide Criminal Check.Nevertheless, we want Ms*** to be fully satisfied with her purchase from Intelius. Since she was not completely satisfied with the Statewide Criminal Check, we have processed a refund of $to her account on 4/20/2016. I am rejecting this response because: The site needs to be clear as https://www.intelius.com/background-check states below which is one of the major reason for me to use Intelius at $vsother sites at $which is my original complaint."Performing an online Background Check with Intelius can give you confidence that the people who spend time with you and your family are safe and trustworthyAnd running a Background Check on yourself helps to ensure that your identity hasn't been compromised or stolen."Also, the FCRA note is all the way at the bottom rather than right below to above statement which is not obvious to me before running the background check.Just another note: I have been trying to unsubscribe to the site but the "unsubscribe" link from the email just brought me to their main site to buy more report that its price does not justify

I am rejecting this response because: I appreciate their explanation on public information being available but, unless an address has changed for example I do not see with technology available today where it is not possible to program their system when an individual has a concern for their personal safety such as in my case with an Order of Protection that any public records matching my personal data be automatically rejected and not be put into their systemThey have a basic offering of the person's name and location and related persons to identify the correct individual being searched for but, other more identifiable and informative informative is available for a feeThis is purely for the company's profit at the expense of the person in their systemAn individual's safety should take preference over profitI am well aware this company is not the only such company providing such information as I have the task of dealing with those companies also
