Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
In today’s environment no system is 100% safe, not one week goes by that some corporation Network / System is hacked and public information is compromised and stolenWhere credit card detail is retained under misleading pretense is violating my right withdraw all knowledge of Intelius who use third party call centers to handle customer service who’s Network / Systems are less secure than comparable systems within the USAI deal with secure networks on daily basis from Alaska, to Florida, to Bahamas to Bermuda Networks and System is venerable to intrusion
I respectfully request Intelius to remove my credit card detail as a matter of choice by the client; I did not purchase any product or service and by what right or regulatory statute is this detail retained?
It’s time people of America to stand up for their right’s and say no to corporations and it appears time to escalate this issue to my local Senator, State or Oregon and Washington Attorney General and the like
This is not over indeed, not by a darn site.Sincerely,*** ***

Complaint # *** Consumer: *** *** We are in receipt of the consumer complaint filed by Mr*** in connection with an Intelius Premier Plus membership he purchased on August 22, on the Intelius website It is Intelius’ policy to use all applicable means to
deliver the information services ordered by its customers. The information provided is gathered from selected public records and other publicly available informationThe data is compiled into a comprehensive database record that Intelius maintains with active updates from its sources. Due to the nature of public records, however, Intelius cannot warrant the information provided is always current, complete, or accurate. Per the Terms of Service Mr*** agreed to upon the completion of his purchase, Intelius has a no refund policyHowever, as a matter of customer courtesy, I have provided a full refund of the cost of the membership and additional areports Mr*** purchased in the amount of $(a 50% discounted $membership in the amount of $plus two additional $current phone and address reports) on August 29, Mr*** should note this refund on his account within the next to days depending on his financial institution’s billing cycle and internal refund policy Mr*** was also removed from the Intelius Premier Membership program prior to any full price membership renewals and he won’t see any additional charges in connection with this paid membership on his account This information should successfully resolve Mr***’ complaintShould your office or Mr*** have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me at [email protected] Sincerely, Tara M*** SrIP & Marketing Compliance Manager www.intelius.com

Intelius customers are presented with a two tier pricing structure when purchasing reports on the Intelius website. They have the option of paying the full price, or a discounted promotional price which includes a 7-Day Pass of the Intelius Premier Plus Membership. When a customer
selects the promotional price, they are presented the benefits of the membership and the terms and conditions of the offer, including billing. By choosing to proceed with the purchase at the promotional price, the customer agrees to the terms and conditions of the promotional offer. In this case, the promotional offer was accepted and the Intelius Premier Plus 7-Day Pass was activated The Intelius Premier Plus Membership was canceled on 6/19/along with the pending charge of $29.95. Additionally, we want Mr*** to be fully satisfied with his purchase from Intelius. Since he was not completely satisfied with the People Search Report we processed a refund of $to his account on 6/20/2016. This will reflect on Mr***’s statement ($& $0.95) in one of the next two billing cycles, depending on the closing date. Again, all charges have been canceled or refunded and no future membership charges will occur. We appreciate your cooperation in resolving this matter and apologize for any inconvenience

Revdex.com:

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me
However, I want to make note that while my specific situation has been resolved to my satisfaction, the policy of this company to absolutely refuse the removal of their credit card information is ridiculous A really good company should allow this as an option on their website The fact that I had to go through the Revdex.com to force them to take this action should be grounds to remove their Revdex.com Best rating for six months
Sincerely, *** ***

Managing personal information through the US Search opt-out service is just one step in eliminating its availabilityThere are many other sites that may provide similar information found on our sitePublic records sites, search engines, social networking sites and other online companies provide
different levels of information about individualsWe have removed the requested information from the US Search database, as well as affiliated sites. We recommend Mr*** review our privacy policy located on the US Search website at https://privacylock.ussearch.com/about/privacyGenerally, we do require an individual’s identity to be verified prior to processing an opt-out. To do this, we request that proof of identity be submitted along with the removal request. Proof of identity can be a state issued ID card or driver's license. When faxing or mailing a copy of a driver's license, we require that the photo and the driver's license number be crossed out. However, we do need to see the name, address, and date of birth to ensure that all information is removed from our database. If an individual does not feel comfortable faxing us their driver’s license or other state issued identification, they can send a notarized statement of their identity.Additionally, it is important to remember that the Opt Out procedure is temporary. US Search is constantly updating their database with new public records. It is possible that an individual may need to resubmit an Opt Out request for any new records that may have been added to our database since their last Opt Out request. While we are unable to anticipate how, when, or if information will reappear on our site, we will be more than happy to remove an individual’s information upon request We appreciate your cooperation in resolving this issue and apologize for any inconvenience

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:Thank you for your reply, but this resolution is unacceptable if my information will keep on appearing on your websites and affiliatesOnce again, your company and your affiliates do NOT have my permission, nor were you given the authority to use me and/or any of my information as your product regardless of where your sites may have gleaned the informationIf my information appears on any of your websites or your affiliates' websites, then I will be forced to once again contact the Revdex.com, as this seems to be the only reasonable way to get my information off of your website.I also reviewed your procedures for information removal and reject said procedures of giving you more information to get you to delete the information you already have Also, given yout statement that all information will appear again leads one to wonder how many other private individuals have followed your procedures only to have that same information re-added to your website and affiliates, plus the additional information each gave to prove to you, who they are Let me make this perfectly clear, your website and all affiliates do NOT and never will have the authority to use me / my information as your productA successful resolution to this is to never have any of my information on your website and /or any business affiliates' websites Ever. Also, kindly remove my email address from the year old in Schenectady, NY.Sincerely,*** ***

Public Records only offers subscriptions with options to select billing to reoccur monthly, quarterly, or annually. Currently, there is no option to purchase a single month of access. As requested, the Public Records Membership was canceled on 1/19/along with the pending charge of
$19.95. Since the transaction was pending at the time of cancellation, Mr*** debit/credit card was not debited. The pending transaction should have been released back into Mr*** account by his financial institution. Mr*** should reach out to his financial institution for more clarification on when this will reflect in his account. Only a charge of $will be charged for the first month the membership was active. Again, the Public Records Membership has been canceled and there will be no future membership charges. We appreciate your cooperation in resolving this matter and apologize for any inconvenience
