selects the promotional price, they are presented the benefits of the membership and the terms and conditions of the offer, including billing.? By choosing to proceed with the purchase at the promotional price, the customer agrees to the terms and conditions of the promotional offer.In this case, the promotional offer was accepted and the Intelius Premier Plus 7-Day Plus was activated.? When the Background Report search credit which is provided with the Intelius Premier Plus 7-Day Pass is consumed, the membership will immediately charge the monthly cost for the membership.? Before the search credit is consumed, the customer will receive a prompt informing them of the chargeAs requested, the Intelius Premier Plus Membership was canceled on 2/4/along with the charge of $29.95.? This will reflect on Mr***’s statement in one of the next two billing cycles, depending on the closing date.? Mr*** will only be charged $for the People Search Plus Report.? On December 27, Mr*** purchased a reverse phone search reportThe number provided by Mr*** was not listed in the Intelius databaseAt no additional cost to Mr***, Intelius conducted an Assisted Phone Search Report in which we reached out to our partners to locate phone numbers not listed in our records ? On December 29, Mr*** purchased a People Search Plus Report for $and then a Nationwide Civil Judgement and a Nationwide Criminal Check for $each based on the name matched to his initial phone report search results? Per Ms***’s request, her information was removed from the Intelius database, as well as our affiliated websites in December The link provided in Ms***’s complaint is a generic search link generated through users searching on the Intelius website for the names and places listed in the search string or through a Google search queryIf Ms*** is still seeing her name appearing within Google search results pages, it means that while Ms***’s information was still in our systems, Google indexed the public results pages of the Intelius websiteUnfortunately, we do not have the ability to remove this information from Google’s search results.? In order for this specific search string to be removed, Google will need to re-index these webpages and update the information they have cachedWhen and how often these pages are re-indexed is beyond our control and is based on Google’s internal policies and algorithmsHowever, Ms*** should note, that none of her information appears in any of the Intelius search results.? Additionally, it is important to remember that the procedure to opt out is temporaryIntelius is constantly updating its database with new public recordsIt is possible that an individual may need to resubmit a request to opt out for any new records that may have been added to its database since their last opt out requestWhile we are unable to anticipate how, when, or even if information will reappear on our sites, we will be more than happy to remove an individual’s information upon request? On December 23, 2016, Mr*** purchased a 50% discounted Premier membership in the amount of $Mr*** was notified of this offer when he selected his report and again on the payment information pageAdditionally, he was required to manually select a checkbox on the payment information page before he could complete his report purchase that specifically notified him of the offer and the membership terms, including that his credit or debit card would be charged $each monthMr*** was presented with language in the same checkbox that by clicking the button to purchase, he agreed to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (with hyperlinks to each)A copy of the initial offer page and the purchase page is attached for your review ? pricing structure when purchasing reports on the Intelius websiteEach offer includes the standard one-time purchase price and a second discounted report price plus a one-week trial of the Intelius Premier Plus membershipIf the user elects to continue with their selected report type but does not wish to continue the Premier Plus membership they are instructed to cancel the Premier Plus membership within the first days and they will only be charged $for the Premier Plus trial membershipHowever, if the user does not cancel, the member is enrolled in the Premier Plus membership and their credit card will be charged a monthly fee of $(plus applicable taxes) going forward ? Intelius provides clear disclosures within the report purchase process of the Premier Plus membership offer.? Below, I have outlined the process and various places in which Intelius notified Ms*** of the membership offer and details? Once Mr***’s sales person was available, attempts were made to reach him by email and phone.? Intelius practices sneaky deceitful business ethics and a quick Google research will reveal the numerous customer complaints of the same issues I am having with them -? I DID NOT CHECK any box.? I DID NOT sign up for a premium membership they are charging me for.? THEY ADDED these programs without my authorization and in fact, throughout the Google research you will come across many people who they have added programs and charges to their accounts unauthorized.? It's a corrupt business and I DEMAND $back that was taken out of my account without my permission.? I will not back down until that money is placed back into my account.?

On September 25, Mr*** emailed the Intelius customer care teamPer the Intelius Terms of Service, all fees are non-refundable, however, as a matter of customer courtesy, the Intelius customer care agent provided a refund to Mr*** in the amount of $73.65.? Mr*** should note this refund on his financial billing statement within the next five to seven days depending on his financial institution’s internal refund policy
