In the complaint Mr*** stated
that he paid a fee up front when in fact, we do not charge anything until a
truck has been assigned to the shipment and his card has not been
charged
anything. Inter-City Auto Transport is one of very few brokers who make
the commitment to work on a vehicle transport without charging a fee up
front. We do this for fairness and honesty to each customer.
In this case, not only have we not charged a fee upfront, we have agreed to waive our
$fee completely while still attempting to assist Mr*** in finding a truck
that will pick up his Sprinter Van.
Also, to
address the claim that Mr*** has not been able to contact us, I personally
recall each conversation with him (and have phone records), where I explained times how difficult
it will be to transport a Sprinter Van from New Hampshire to California due to
the location, size and the season.
According
to the terms and conditions that Mr*** agreed to when asking us to find a
carrier, it plainly states that although the average vehicle shipment takes
approximately days to pick up, nothing is guaranteed In addition, he is free to cancel our service at any time with no penalties, fees or charges of any kind.
We feel
that we have been more than honest and fair with Mr*** from the beginning, even
going above and beyond in waiving our fee to help him in a bad situation, as we
do with all our customers. This is the reason that we have near perfect
ratings and no complaints with the Revdex.com. We feel that
this is an unfounded and untrue claim
After speaking to Mr*** this morning, he agreed to retract his complaint and we would continue to work to get his Sprinter Van picked up
