On 03/16/2015, the customer agreed to our settlement of
$as per the terms and conditions of our insurance. The claim payment will be processed on 03/19/
and the file will be closed. Under confidentiality, I have attached
the signed release for your review.

We offered the amount claimed for the moldy loveseat and moldy guitar.  In order to reconsider the other items, please obtain an estimate to repair by a qualified repairer.  If any item(s) are un-repairable, this must be so stated on the repair firm’s letterhead.  The estimate should also indicate the type, severity, necessary parts and the location of the damages.   Also, the estimate must state that they are estimating new transit damage only as there is much pre-existing damages noted on the origin inventories.  Please send the repair report directly to our office at [redacted] to be reviewed.

It is unacceptable for an insurance company to make a profit on any coverage. The property was insured for damage and the furniture can not simply be repaired. There was water damage and mold on it. That kind of damage can lead to serious health concerns.]

purchased is offered through the movers and the coverage is fixed, standardized and cannot be negotiated. We are sorry that the we cannot advise more favorably for the customer but must follow the terms and conditions of the insurance.

The insurance company is claiming that there were other items with the damaged pieces, which is not These two show pieces were individually packed in individual box, box numbers 13 and 14 and each cost $150, so the inventory list had $300 value Insurance company is not paying decent amount to this one inspite of asking multiple timesThey rejected aritificial plants which I said ok but I do not agree with their compensation for these show pieces of $50. Even movers who delivered have this list and when they opened, even they have pictures and written DAMAGED against these 2 boxes  and tehy also have pictures taken when delivered see attached list with these box numbers I am asking for a fair compensation on these 2 damaged pieces, what is the point in taking insurance on $10, 000 worth of items shipped and  not giving a fair compensation for a claim $300 FOR THESE 2 PIECESI had claimed a total of $650 for damages, OF WHICH insurance  company rejected aritificial plants which is $250off remaining $400, they are giving  only $100 totalof which $50 for $300 Claimed for these 2 damaged pieces is not fairWe need better compensation to close this or they can replace these two items which cost $150 to $200 range now each

As all items in the shipment must be insured, the settlement offer has been averaged between the insured values on the valued inventory form and the items listed on the packing list.  The offer we have made is already above our liability as a customer service gesture.  Therefore, our offer is reaffirmed.  We are sorry we cannot assist the customer further but must follow the terms and conditions of insurance.

After reviewing the claim, we must reaffirm our settlement offer as per the terms and conditions of insurance.  For the mirror, a minimum of 8 items on the descriptive inventory were insured for $300.00 so we cannot offer more than our $50.00 allowance as this is already above our...
