Interact, Inc. Reviews (2)

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The receptionist NEVER MENTIONED that Chris was not in-network for any insurance provider. That is completely false, and the fact that Chris/Anne state that she "repeatedly" told me this and "insisted" he is not in-network for any provider can only insinuate that she covering herself from the fact that she did not provide that information so she does not get in trouble, or that the company in collaborately a scam, and purposely did not tell me this and covering for each other.  I made it clear that the only reason I was looking into Chris as a counselor, is because he was the only Christian counselor listed in-network. So if the receptionist even mentioned, or even suggested, that he isn't in-network for ANY provider, this would have raised a red flag for me and I would have not booked the appointment. I was not given this information until after my appointment, and I was completely confused as to how this wasn't mentioned when I booked the appointment. I wasn't event told how much the rate would be until after the appointment. This experience is completely out of order, deceitful, and off-the-wall from any other health/medical appointment (in and out-of-network), I've ever experienced. I will not release the information that I provided during the appointment, because the content I shared itself was personal information and irrelevant to the issue disputed. What I shared, and the notes he took could no way determine the actual length of time we spent on our issues vs. the length of time he took talking about himself. However, I wish there was something I could provide to show that there was no actual counseling done during this pricey session. No advise, no homework, no take-aways, no reading material, no next steps, NOTHING.Again, I tried to initially work with the office to see if we could reach a fair middle-ground based on this experience, and Chris refused to work with me on a compromise. At this point, I truly believe it was either a scam or just outright bad practice with no value. I am looking for a refund and to make sure no one else gets taken advantage by this organization.Regards,[redacted]

April 14, 2016 To Whom It May Concern: As noted in the complainant’s statement, she did call our counseling center and did assert that our counselor Mr. Christopher [redacted] was listed on her insurance provider’s website as being an in network provider. Our office manager did inform her that she...

had never heard of that insurance company and did state that we are an out of network provider. The complainant did insist that she had seen us listed on her insurance company’s website as an in network provider and that this was the reason she was scheduling an appointment. Our office manager did not contend with her further, but simply made the requested appointment. It is not our responsibility to investigate the accuracy of any insurance company’s website, or to investigate the content of the website of every insurance company in the country, or to speculate as to why this complainant refused to accept our office manager’s repeated assertion that we are not an in network provider. It is our responsibility to inform our potential clients of the fact that we are an out of network provider, which our office manager did. HIPPA Laws prohibit us from commenting on the amount of time spent discussing any specific topic in the course of a client’s session. We can say that it is normal procedure for a licensed, professional therapist to inform a client of credentialing, expertise and experience. If the complainant would like to sign a “release of information” form we would be free to discuss session notes indicating the amount of time actually spent on the introduction in question and the likelihood of it having taken 1/3 of the session. The complainant’s signature on a release form would also permit Mr. [redacted] to note whether or not he made any comments to the complainant during the session regarding his out of network status.
