Intercept youth service in Richmond VA is very unprofessional and the staff needs further training. My experience as a Foster parent was very bad and it made me close my home to all foster children. This company is only out to make money and do not have the foster parents back at all. I highly recommend it shutting the Richmond location down.

The group home in the Roanoke area is not a good place for kids to live at. They allow the residents to smoke and call it meditation. They also give harsh punishments to the kids and treat them like they are not worth anything. I had a resident contact me and gave me a recording of what was told about them letting kids smoke and when it got out of hand they shut meditation down. They even said in the recording to the kids that if they want to tell someone that they was allowing them to smoke they would play dumb and if they continued to keep pushing the issue they would have them kicked out of the program. Intercept in Roanoke is not a healthy and stable place for kids to get their lives straightened out they seem to care more about the money because intercept is suppose to help kids get the help they need to get their lives straightened out, but are really setting these kids up for failure in life. I would like to see something done about it and how the staff treats the residents as well. I strongly recommend there be an investigation of Carriage house in Roanoke. I feel for these kids having to suffer and deal with problems that staff shouldn't be starting. If nothing can be done about this then I will seek out the Revdex.com or the owner of the house because I do not want to see kids living in this type of environment.

This company is very unprofessional. I was a foster mom and they made my experience so bad that I gave up being s parent. The training was insufficient and the staff was in experiences with lack of education. They help destroy a great relationship with my foster child and myself. I do not reccomend this company under its current Director.
