Derrick S. Was patient, knowledgeable and accessible to me throughout the whole process. He always took the time to explain various procedures/numbers/estimates during my refinance, as I am not well versed in the language of home loans. He gave me his private telephone number, and often allowed me to communicate through text messages as phone conversations can be distracting for me with my young son always nearby. He saved me just under $300 per month on my monthly mortgage, and worked tirelessly to get me the best deal possible. I am so grateful for his help in what would otherwise be a confusing and stressful process. Thank you Derrick!!

InterestSmart Home Loans is an excellent "for real" mortgage lender. I was a bit skeptical at first, waiting for some "gotcha" feature or provision to pop up. There were none. I worked with Julio E throughout the process, and he was honest, forthright, efficient and professional. His knowledge of mortgages with their complexities was outstanding. He answered all of my questions and provided regular updates and instructions via telephone and email from beginning to end. I found no disadvantages dealing with Julio in a long distance manner.

This was probably the best mortgage or refi experience we have ever had. Derrick S was responsive and straight talking throughout the entire process. He ensured I understood every step of the process and when I had questions, even during the actual signing with the notary, Derrick treated us like valuable customers. In the past, I've had financial experts act as though I was bothering them with questions, even though it was my money in play. Derrick respected us and the process the entire time, and always came across as happy to serve his customer. I would work with him again in a heartbeat.
Also, the notary who came for our closing was a very sharp young man. Even though the signing was at our home, he arrived dressed like we were meeting on Wall Street, complete with a leather bound briefcase. He gave us a great deal of confidence that this was all being done correctly and efficiently, and it was.
